  6. That cartoon was great, really made us smile. It is so cold here too, Misty doesn’t like it, but Lightning loves to be out in the cold. Timber is happy either way as long as some one of us is there with him:)

  7. I always ask to sit that close to the eyechart but have yet to be given approval to do so. Stay warm seems to be a reasonable suggestion to provide the Ranch with. Here, things continue to be odd with the weather. Flurries, no measurable snow at all. We’ll take some of that cold off of your hands come the weekend!

  14. Swap out people for dogs and that chart was pretty much my view from the Stairmaster at the gym this morning. At minus 3 one needs to bring out the toddies, Tom & Jerrys, hot buttered rums, Irish coffees, mulled wines and other libations held in reserve for just such meteorological conditions. Two Dog Nights!

  17. John W. Howell – South Texas Gulf Coast – I have been working in business for over forty years and now have the time to work in special areas of interest. My passion has always been to create compelling stories of fiction. I have authored six novels and am working on my Seventh. The first novel is still in manuscript form and being utilized as a door stop in the laundry room. The second is a contemporary fiction novel of 89,000 words and is complete and I am currently seeking a publisher. I also write poetry but have not had the guts to share any with anyone. The one time I read a piece to a person their only comment was, “it doesn’t rhyme.” I will continue to write and hopefully my blog, Fiction Favorites at www.johnwhowell.com will provide some entertainment and an interesting thought or two. I live in the Austin area with my wife Molly and an assortment of loving pets.

Dec. 9th, 2014. Purrince Siddhartha Henry came to live with me & regaled us with his journey towards 'Enlightenment'. He was a Burmese Buddhist with many health issues but he searched for meaning in his Life. After his lifelong struggle with Panleukopenia. Siddhartha Henry lost his battle & left for Pure Land August 28th, 2018. He was only 4 years & 1 month old. I've never totally gotten over the loss of my "Little Man". And this is where I get VERY serious. This Purrfect Pad blog is not all sunshine & roses. This blog is about REAL life with special needs cats who come into my life. We share our time together & we share the good, the bad & the ugly. This is a REAL blog. Yes we DO laugh & have fun & take Selfies! And we share each cat's struggles whether health issues or behavioural problems. And we share about my ongoing battle with 3 health conditions that can render me unable to walk plus having Cirrhosis of Liver & Seizures. We ask our friends & followers to respect that THE Purrfect Pad is anything but 'purrfect'. I am disabled & each of my cats' have had special needs.
