A happy Monday to you! A full weekend whizzed by and we’re ready to start the week with a smile.
Many of you may know that I’m a HUGE hockey fan and while my team was eliminated in the first round, I’m still following the Stanley Cup playoffs. A couple teams look quite impressive so when I came across today’s smile, it was easy to decide what today’s smile would be.
Here’s hoping your week goes well and no time is spent in the penalty box.
We will have an update on yesterday’s sheepdog fundraiser including photos later this week. All and all, it was a great event and we’re still compiling the numbers. Special thanks to everyone who supported us, whether in person or in spirit. Happy Monday!

Make that penalty box a litter box, and Ody would be the most penalized cat in the league….. not to mention muck up the ice with clay. Can a zamboni clean up cat litter?

Charlee: “Wait, if we play hockey, we get to sit in a box?”
Chaplin: “Where do we sign up?”
Lulu: “Our Dada doesn’t watch much in the way of sports but he does like ‘Battlebots’, which he refers to as ‘Nerd Gladiators’. He has four or five favorite robots but they have all been eliminated from the tournament except for one, which happens to be his very favorite. We’ll see if they can finally win the prize!”
Java Bean: “What is the prize?”
Lulu: “It’s called The Giant Nut.”
Java Bean: “I see. So these robots, they’re driven by squirrels?”
We’ll keep our paws crossed your Dada’s robot continues to do well. We all like winners as well as boxes.
Haha! My granddaughter, who plays hockey, would enjoy that one.

Super cartoon…made me laugh.
The very word ‘hockey’ takes me back to playing it at school…anchored in goal to stop me wandering off while my nether parts turned blue from the winds from Siberia howling across the playing fields. Ice hockey would have been considerably warmer.
I had an autumn semester of field hockey in college myself. Those Siberian winds blew through here as well! Thought it was a good idea but was I ever wrong! Happy Monday.

so funny! sorry about your loss Monika… but I know the team appreciates your support, lol. I used to watch the Edmonton oilers at the huge indoor mall in Edmonton, when I lived there, I guess practicing or public outreach. Canadians set their watches by hockey, and me not so much.

It’s the best sport around. I love this time of year though it’ll be over in just a few weeks which will be sad there won’t be hockey for 5 months. Yikes…what ever more will I watch?! LOL
