Monday Musings ~ March 10, 2025

Monday smile

Today’s smile comes to you courtesy of a recent ‘concert’ singing just this song. It never seems to fail when you have a pet.

Here’s wishing you a lovely and ‘concert-free’ Monday.

Live, love, bark!  🐾

    1. Glad we could put a smile on your face. It seems universal…both cats and dogs do it! Happy Monday.

  1. I love the tune and the new lyrics. For the life of me, I can’t understand why dogs head for the carpet instead of the tile. Thanks for the smile, Monika.

    1. It’s guaranteed. And judging by the comments, universal with cats and dogs. Happy Monday.

    1. Thanks-glad you enjoyed the smile. It has be some sort of evolutionary/universal thing with dogs and cats-and it happens without fail.

  2. Bwahahahahahahaha. So true and this applies to cats as well.

I linked this post to Awww Mondays.

Have a fabulous day and week, my friend. A big hug to you and lots of scritches to the pups. ♥

    1. It makes paw-fect sense our feline friends are right there with the dogs. Happy Monday. And thank you for hooking us up to your hop.

  3. omg so true, still laughing. It’s not funny on the rug tho, I would rush over try to insert a newspaper and the dog would move not to hit the paper! Then the leftover red circle on the rug after cleaning… oy…

    1. I know, right! I have a few of those ‘circles’ too and at 2 AM the last thing you want to do is drag out a carpet cleaner then to clean the entire rug.

    1. And judging from the comments, it happens just as frequently and reliably as it does with dogs. 😉

    1. Oh so true, Mike. And the sound will wake me up like nothing else! Sadly the infirmary is still ongoing for Elsa. I’m about 95%. Here’s hoping your week has loads more smiles, especially the kind that don’t involve gritted teeth.

  4. You want to see world record sprinting? My reaction to the first sounds of a dog throwing up.

    1. Oh yes! You could be dead asleep and there’s nothing that can wake a pet parent up quicker! Around the Ranch, it’s practically a Guiness World record then! Happy Monday.

    1. As I’ve gotten older I obviously have slowed down but I can turn into an Olympic athlete whenever I hear that urping sound in a New York minute! Happy Monday.

    1. And parents of both critters turn into a speed skater trying to mitigate the scene, no matter how slow they are. 😆

    1. Aww, you’re too kind, Jacqui. Thank you. It’s definitely a universal rule around the Ranch.

    1. Oh no…dogs are masters of glancing around and running over to the carpet. In a hot second, too!

      1. 🙂 Cats do it well. They will start gagging on hardwood floors and quickly scoot over to a carpet, the harder to clean the better! Gotta love them anyway.

    1. Oh man…that’s like a double whammy. Here’s hoping your Monday is totally without pukiara.

      1. How many times have I grabbed the heaving cat and practically thrown her on the rugless part of the floor! And thank you 🙂

    1. Thanks, Carole. I’ll always hum that tune now whenever it happens around the Ranch. It’ll make clean up a bit easier to stomach. Here’s to a great Monday.

Feel free to bark your thoughts...but please no growling.
