We hope your holiday weekend was ‘pawsome.’ Anyone who owns a pet knows the drill when it comes to taking care of the water bowl. All I can say, is it’s a good thing the ‘other’ bowls all have lids.

We hope your water bowl (as well as the week) remain clean and fresh. Happy Monday!
Live, love, bark! 🐾
Cats too! They will splash water everywhere in the process too.
I hadn’t known that cats were drawn to ‘bowls’ of water like that. Too funny.
Mew mew emw that iss a Poochie with ‘cat-titude’ fore sure Miss Monika an Wilson!!! Thanx fore a guud laff!!
~~~head rubss~~~BellaDharma~~~ an (((hugss))) BellaSita Mum
Glad you enjoyed it. I think cats and dogs both probably enjoy a bit of eau de toilette water from time to time. Have a great week!
Lulu: “Nobody’s ever gotten the chance to drink out of the toilet bowl here as the lids are always kept down, but if anyone were going to do it, my money would be on Oona. She’s the one who likes to climb into the sink and drink water from the tap.”
Oona: “THE TOILET IS NOT A SINK.”
Clearly Wilson isn’t as sophisticated as Smol Oona…he thinks it’s Happy Hour with the olives. 😂
LOL, we dogs definitely have different ideas of what tastes best!
For some dogs, it’s like Happy Hour! For others I guess it’s just forbidden fruit that make them do it. Being bigger helps too. Not a lot of little dogs seem to bother. We hope you have a pawtastic week!
MOL…we had to close the lid for Angel Stippie, he wanted to drink out of the toilet too…fishing with his paws😹We hope you had a wonderful Easter Wilson and Monika🐰Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day🐾😘💞
Tee hee…makes you wonder why our pets are drawn to toilets. Seems so odd. We did have a wonderful Easter celebrating my great grand daughter’s 2nd birthday. Such fun. Have a pawtastic week!
we hope your easter monday was wonderful… lots of eggscellent things…
Thanks Weims…we had a very pawtastic Easter holiday and Monday. Hope yours was as well!
Happy Easter Monday!
Or at least what’s left of it, LOL!
That was a funny comic…we keep our lid down, too…
Thanks. We’re glad you enjoyed this week’s Monday smile. It cracked me up. A closed lid seems like a safe way to ensure no floor puddles. 😉
The sound of the running water in the “facilities” makes them think it’s a good place to drink as running water=fresh water in the wild. Thanks for the smile.
Glad you enjoyed today’s smile. Some days I think Wilson thinks it’s Happy Hour. LOL Have a terrific week.
Ha ha! We always keep the lid down. XO
With pets, it’s probably a very good idea. Hope it’s been a great Monday for you.
Haha yes Chester tried it once! We do keep the lids down now!
Big dogs must think toilets are a margarita! That comic cracked me up. Here’s hoping it’s been a great Monday following a terrific Easter holiday.
Bahahahahaha! Yes, here’s to keeping things under cover!
Toilet bowl drinking isn’t a problem when you’re a purse sized dog but the bigger ones must view it as a G&T or something. Wishing you a week that’s completely well covered. 😉
Hahahahahaha! A G&T! That’s great!
That or a Cuervo margarita made with a big splash of Cointreau. Cheers.
Salud! LOL
Haha!! Zoey likes to stick her snout between my butt cheek and the seat when I go to sit, 🤦🏻♀️ so the lid stays closed at all other times. I don’t know about this girl sometimes! At least my Zen-puppy has some manners. 😂
Wilson is his absolute clinginess whenever I use the bathroom. Nothing quite like a big fat wet nose shoved into the upper inner thighs to wake you up at 2 AM!! Sheesh.
Our male setter would drink out of the downspout, but he’d turn his nose up at fresh water if he dropped a piece of kibble in it.
Now that’s funny. Who knew dogs could be so picky when they will eat regurgitated barf but turn down a drink with a soggy kibble in it. Too hilarious. Hope it’s been a terrific Monday, Dan.
The cats were worse. The water had to be fresh.
Bwahahaha. Too funny.
None of ours drinks from the toilet. If their water dish isn’t spotless with no debris, they walk away. We have to change the water twice a day even after fresh in the morning. I also wash their dishes after each meal. Do not need an unknown bacteria making them sick. Have a great week, Monika.
Oh gosh, that’s hilarious! Nothing like a couple of Frenchies to lord their discriminating behavior over their hoomans. But yeah, I get the bowl washing to keep bad bugs from creating an upset tummy. I think big dogs look at toilet bowl drinks as a form of Happy Hour. LOL Have a wonderful week!
Yes, that’s the way it goes sometimes. Hey Wilson, I hope you and Mom have a terrific week.
Thanks, Terry. We hope you have a great week as well!
LOL! A pawfect comic!
We had a really nice weekend. Video chatted with my son for a few hours yesterday. My parents were here for Easter dinner, so they loved being able to chat with him, too. A big YAY for technology! At least for this part of technology. The relationship with technology goes between love and hate. LOL!
So glad you had a lovely Easter with the family and glad the grandparents were able to chat with your soon too. How fun. Yeah, that whole relationship with technology is fraught with way too many landmines IMHO. Glad you enjoyed today’s smile. It never ceases to amaze me how dogs are nothing if not resourceful. LOL Happy Monday!
I’m happy to have small dogs who couldn’t reach the toilet no matter what, and glad that they love their water fountain too!
Never let it be said that big dogs don’t leverage their size in all sorts of ways to get what they want. Wilson and I have been ‘discussing’ that very topic since he seems to think herding is synonymous with bulldozing. The dog would have made a great defensive football player! Have a lovely Monday.
Yes to lids! 😀
Self preservation is a good thing when one has pets! Happy Monday.
Bwahahahahahahahaha. Cats can do this very thing too. Makes you wonder.
I linked this post to Awww Mondays.
Have a fabulous day and week. Love and hugs to you and lots of scritches to handsome Wilson. ♥
Thanks Sandee. It does make you wonder why they do it. As always, thanks for adding us to your hop. You’re always so kind. Here’s hoping it’s a terrific Monday and week!
Even good dogs make bad choices. Thankfully none of my girls have been T-bowl drinkers. But I do feel so guilty when I see an empty water bowl that I’ve forgotten to refill. Thx for the Monday chuckle. Have a great week M. Belly scrubs to Wilson! 🐾
You know now that I think about it, none of my females were ever bowl drinkers either. Hmmm, makes you wonder about male dogs’ motives. Happy Monday, Mike. Please give the Golden Girls a good belly rub from me and have a great week.
I loved that comic strip. One of the very best. The author was very kind in publishing an “end” if you will to all the characters lives as they went along in their future… with a short synopsis. She recognized how involved we readers were. Very kind of her.
It was such a clever, funny comic strip. I loved that the strip was created in real time and the characters aged. It was a fun strip about a lovely family. We hope you have a great Monday!
BOL! This is why we keep the toilet lids in the down position unless we’re using them.
Precisely! It’s a useful strategy when you have pets. Happy Monday!
Hahaha! Zeke was the same! There is something about the cold toilet bowl, I guess…
Just add an olive and it becomes a cocktail for dogs! Happy Monday, friend.
Hahahahaha!!
Happy Monday to you 😉
Not showing mine this….might give them ideas…as if they don’t have enough already…..
Haha…I hear THAT! Have a super Monday, Helen and please give The Thugs nice ear rubs from me.
Wilson has such a wet mouth (he drools…a lot) and I’m already following him around with a micro-fiber towel mopping up all his drool dribbles. With three bathrooms, I can’t imagine if the lids weren’t down! Happy Monday.
I trust your holiday weekend was delightful. As pet owners, we certainly understand the importance of keeping our furry friends hydrated—especially when the weather warms up. The convenience of having lids on other bowls is indeed a blessing!
I am Emily from https://galaxyonknowledge.blogspot.com/
Thanks for swinging by, Emily. We 💙 visitors. Here’s to a well hydrated week.
Mollie was our only cat that liked to drink from the toilet bowl. As soon as I realized that we started to put the lid down. We did that for 16 years until she passed. They train us well.
