Monday Musings ~ April 27, 2026

Monday smileWilson has found a new treat that he likes. Although he would rather it would have been an apple slice from the charcuterie board leftovers, he was more than game to try a slice of cucumber. What treats do your dogs like?

Whatever snack you prefer, we hope it adds to a ‘pawf-fect’ Monday for you.

Live, love, bark! 🐾

  1. I love that food pyramid. Works for humans too. Not well, but still.

    You’re so handsome Wilson.

I linked this post to Awww Mondays.

Have a fabulous day and week. Scritches to Wilson and love and hugs to mom. ♥

She is also the author of the Rowe-Delamagente thrillers and Building a Midshipman, the story of her daughter’s journey from high school to United States Naval Academy. Her non-fiction includes over a hundred books on integrating tech into education, reviews as an Amazon Vine Voice, and a freelance journalist on tech ed topics. Look for her next prehistoric trilogy.

Um, that falls under “Dogs eat anything”.

  3. A Golden Retriever must have developed that food chart. My girls will eat literally everything with the exception of lettuce and celery. Golden to the core!…. Hope you and Wilson have everything you need to make the coming week a good one.

  4. The thugs turn up their collective noses at fruit and veg…..won’t even snaffle the bits that fall to the floor….but let a sliver of meat fall and there is a nuclear powered rush to the spot.

Hahaha…at least they know what they like. Here’s hoping a sliver of cheese or other tasty morsel graces their path this week. Have a wonderful Monday, Helen.

  5. I, Olivia, like to share apples with my mom every day and Nelson likes a piece of banana. Bailie used to eat banana but she doesn’t want any fruit these days. We all eat veggies with dinner and I really love carrots. Mom doesn’t like cucumbers so we have never had one.

Glad you guys eat your veggies and fruit too. My Mum isn’t a fan of cukes either but had wanted to use up the veggies left over from her charcuterie board. They aren’t bad, but I prefer apples over them. 😉

Not sure if first comment went through. Cats don’t eat people food. They would turn their nose up at cucumbers or apples. Now give them Friskies and they are off to the races!

  8. Sweet! I love cukes, too, Wilson. 🙂 The only green Wren seems to like is grass… both she and the cat like the wheat grass I grow for them. 🙂

Thanks, Eliza. Wilson pretty much loves all veggies and fruits, unlike Sam or Elsa who both were picky about what they’d snack on. We hope you have a wonderful, snack-filled Monday!
