It’s Here!!!

Elsa is ready to paw-ty before she gets groomed. Here’s wishing you loads of good times this weekend.

  1. You had a seizure Elsa? Mom gets them occasionally too. Stress is a biggie for those. Live long and Prosper is what your sign off said to me. I don’t read properly. Perhaps I need glasses.
Your selfie was wonderful. You looked liked an actress in your sunglasses.

    1. Yeah, I’m an epileptic-warrior. We know about the impact of stress and this grooming was extra stressful. I’m better though today. Hope your mama doesn’t suffer often from seizures. We work hard to eat properly and keep stress low. I like your idea of ‘Live Long and Prosper.‘ It’s pawsome advice! 💜

    1. I had a seizure so mom is keeping me calm for a while (there was a dog who was waiting to be picked up at the spa whose high pitch bark never stopped for 45 minutes. Really stressed me out but I’m better today.

    1. Many thanks, Dorothy. Elsa’s spa treatment went awry as the stress from another dog how could not be consoled while it was waiting to e picked up must have affected her and she had a tiny seizure that we were able to stem in about 5-6 minutes (her shortest one yet). Thank you for sharing the occipital pressure technique (I think I picked that up from you). I’m convinced utilizing it made all the difference in the world on this latest episode. We love your website and radio program and have learned soooo much from you and Gibson. Thank you again! 💜

    1. Aww, you’re too kind. The stress caused me to have a teeny tiny seizure (smallest one to date) but I’m resting comfortably now. Mom can’t stop petting my velvety fur.
      Your fur-iend,
      Elsa 🐾

  2. Glad the grooming went well and she is all soft, pretty, and smelling good. It’s great that they seem to forgive and forget when we make them do things they aren’t thrilled about.

  3. We are supposed to rain all weekend so it will be an indoor weekend for us

  4. You look too cool to ever drool Elsa! ;p
We bet you will look pretty amazing after your trip to the groomer’s. Wilhelmina always does . . . that is for about five seconds until she finds water or a mud puddle on her daily adventures ;p

    1. Poor thing…she handled it as well as she’s able but yesterday’s visit was not a treat for her. She was super thrilled to be at home though, racing around the house tossing and squeaking a favorite toy to remind her all is well now. 😄

      1. Kissy’s hair was really thick, too, when she was young. But, as she aged and it thinned out, I was able to do her grooming myself…just as well, since she became a bit stressed when the groomer came to the house in her mobile “shop”. She was fine for me, though.

        1. I’ve been cleaning her up in between sessions but with two of them it gets a bit pricey. I decided to treat myself. Luckily our professional groomer allows me to stay with Elsa in case she has seizure. That helps alleviate my stress level as much as hers. 😊

  5. Good luck on the grooming. Er, I mean good luck to Monika, not Elsa.:) Remember, Elsa, Ninjas have to be sleeeeek.

  6. We are having an Indian Summer. It’s supposed to be Autumn (Fall) but Mother Nature does not seem to have gotten the message and it’s still 35 – 38c. Anyway, Elsa the Ninja looks good – she even makes the shades look good. I wish Benji would still long enough for me to take that kind of photograph ( There you go, Sam! He’s not perfect!!!)

  7. Yee-haw yes! The Poodle and I just came in from a lovely walk. A bit longer than usual this morning in anticipation of SNOW tomorrow. Dreaming of spring….😩😬
