Monday Musings

After a way too short of a visit with my granddaughter who’s visiting from Hawaii, it’s back to business as usual. As Miss Hailey leaves for her return flight this morning, we will prepare to make preparations for Sam’s hospital visits beginning tomorrow and will fondly reflect back at these two inseparable girls. How was your weekend?

Live love, bark! 🐾

  2. I know everything is ok with your lovely granddaughter otherwise you would not be so calm. But it is a bit on the concerning side just the same.

    1. It more disconcerting her and the family are so far away than anything. Where they are, they are safe from the volcano but at 3500 miles away, not easy to go visit. I just grateful they are living their paradise every day. And just a bit jealous, too. 😉

  3. Oh Miss Hailey is a natural beauty like her Mama! What a pretty, pretty young woman! Praying she is safe in Hawaii………(I know it is the Big Island with the volcano), I think Hailey is on Kauai?

  4. That’s a great, great photo! Glad to hear you had a good visit with your granddaughter, and will be keeping both you and Sam in my thoughts for all things positive 🙂

Thanks so much for your lovely comment on Susan’s blog for my guest post last week—much, much appreciated! I got your email, too—thanks! And I will get around to responding soon. Promise 🙂

  5. Granddaughters are a special kind of love. Yours is gorgeous and I’m glad you were able to visit.

  6. Ah, so now your granddaughter and I have something else in common – certification as a vet assistant. That’s great! Does she have plans to go further, say to become an LVT or even a vet? Being a vet assistant is rewarding work, but it can also be very stressful emotionally. Perhaps she should also consider a seminar/webinar in recognizing and dealing with compassion fatigue. Jessica Dolce has a course, but I’m not sure what the link is. If you’re interested, I’ll look for it and pm it to you.

    1. I think she’d like to go further but not vet school. Right now she needs a bit of a break after working and going to school straight through for the past 3 years. P.S. when you get the chance, I’d love the link for Jessica’s course. Thank you!

  7. How wonderful you got to spend time with your granddaughter. Elsa seems to think so too. Have a great week of enabling Sam to “therapize.”

    1. She is one of the most delightfully sweet people around. The fact she came to Denver to visit with some friends and spend a bit of time with her Omi makes my heart sing. She just graduated from a vet assistant program at the U of Hawaii and I wish her a life time filled happiness at doing something she is so very well suited to doing as Elsa can attest. 💝

  8. it’s great to have such a fabulous visitor :O) … we have still weekend here, today is a holiday since many centuries but we sadly forgot that LOL
