Today we are visiting our friends at West Pines after some terrific visits yesterday at the main hospital and at hospice. We’ll share some remarkable adventures (hopefully) later this week but wanted to let you know the ‘Dogtor’ is in the house treating patients and staff. At the sound of the tone, please leave a number and we’ll get back to you to schedule an appointment.

Live, love, bark! 🐾
You look so handsome!
Gosh…thanks!
Well aren’t you an adorable ‘dogter’!
Aw shucks…I think I’m blushing. 🐾
Dogtor Sam is doing an awesome job! Can’t wait to hear of your adventures.
We had some really good visits and I’m sharing details about one in particular tomorrow. Stay tuned, as they say. 😊
You are such a wonderful pair! What an amazing dogtur you are!

We love meet therapy dogs and cats who visit folks who can’t get out. We animals are the best therapy there is! Our Female Human likes this quote: “”Animals are such agreeable friends ― they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms.” ― George Eliot
Purrs & Head Bonks,
Alberto & The Tribe of Five
That’s one pawsome quote and those words couldn’t be more true. Thanks for swinging by the Ranch. We 💜 visitors, especially such philosophical kitties!
West Pines…that’s where you go for vacation, right? Hehehe…just kidding. But I can smell that nice, freshly bathed Spoo from here. Sam looks ready to put on his super dog cape and go save the world, or at least brighten a lot of folks’ days!
Yup, freshly bathed with a dose of vanilla and lavender essential oil to calm anyone. We’ll work on making a dogtor cape for out next visit! Great suggestion.
I’ll bet there is one real Mom/Dog snuggling that goes on after brush out!
You got that right! Nothing like a sweet smelling pooch especially after a bath.
Good work, S. You are doing important work. No less important than the human doctors. Well, maybe slightly less, but still – HUGE!
Love and licks,
Cupcake
If we were in the hospital or a nursing home, we would really love to have a visit from Dr. Sam.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
And he’d love to visit you!
LOVE how you have enlarged your photos, they look AMAZING!!!!
Aw, thank you. I have you to thank for suggesting enlarging them. 😉
Perhaps the caption should say, “Take two aspirin in a pill pocket and call me in the morning after I have eaten my breakfast.”
Good point! We can get just about anything down with our peanut butter pill pockets. 😊
Hello, this message is for Dogtor. Choppy claims her bacon prescription has run out again and is in need of another refill. Please let us know when we can pick that up. Thanks.
I’ve ok’d the refill (and made it limitless).
Your Dogtor fur-iend,
Sam 🐾
Sam, you are the best dogtor around.
How wonderful that you are doing therapy (and dogter appointments) especially with hospice patients. I’m sure you are providing many smiles and much comfort. My dad passed away in February and was in hospice for a few weeks. We were able to bring his cat for a visit and it meant the world to him. We also had a visit from a therapy dog, which was so uplifting and comforting. Keep up the great work!
Pet therapy pets seem to lighten everyone’s emotional load, especially at hospice. Sorry about your loss. 💔
Sam always offers such amazing house calls!
And takes any and all (or none) insurance plans. No more stupid network SNAFUs. 😊
Love it!
You’d make me feel a lot better if you paid me a visit too. So precious. Thank you for doing this valuable work.
Have a woof woof Wordless or Wordy Wednesday. My best to your peeps. ♥
Thank you! We had a great visit and I think we left a few people smiling. Then again, maybe they were just glad to see us leave? Egad…😱
Good work Sam!
Thanks, luckily I don’t think of it as ‘work.’ We think of it as a real privilege.
Love it!!
Thanks!
Hi Dogtor Sam, you look so wise, could you heal my mom’s back, it is really bad?
Kosmo,
a cat in faraway Finland.
I will try to do it via airwaves with some Reiki help. Tell your mum she mustn’t work so hard and don’t lift anything heavier than a coffee cup. I hope she feels better soon.
She just drank coffee and said she feels somehow better. Thank you so much, no she can walk with me on the yard.
PS. Our bleeding hearts are now in blossom.
Kitty hugs to everybody!
Kosmo
Ooh, I bet they are glorious! Hugs and tail wags to you and your mum.
Our (human) dogtor retired, Sam. Would you come be our dogtor?
Well that’s a bummer. Lucky for you, I am accepting new patients.
😍
What a great caring and compassionate “doctor face” (along with “Do you have treats perhaps?”). 🙂
Treats come AFTER the work. I’m a stone cold hospital administrator and if you believe that, I have a bridge…. 😉
Don’t go mentioning bridges around hospitals.
🙂
