Musical Monday ~ December 2, 2019

Happy first Monday of December! We hope you had a safe and happy Thanksgiving holiday and managed to survive the storms moving across the country this past week. Surprisingly, our local football bums team managed to serve up a last minute turkey for their opponents though I expect the Chargers found it a tough meal to swallow.

So let’s start with a smile. When I saw this meme last week, I couldn’t help but chuckle. And if you still stuck at an airport waiting for your flight to {finally} get you home, we hope it might give you a smile.

Snow Beatles

Last week’s snow dump postponed our hospital visits which have now been rescheduled for this week. I think I can finally get the car out of the garage and not get high centered in the alley so we’re looking forward to no longer be held snow hostage. It’ll be “Helter Skelter “if we can’t tend to the many things to get ready for the big day when “Santa Paws” arrives. “Love Is All We Need ” this Cyber Monday, with a big credit card to get us started. Make it a great week.

Live, love, bark! 🐾

    1. It’s been bizarrely weird weather here as well. 50’s & 60’s most of the week and snow yesterday with low teens today. Brrr!

  1. We got rain, hope your week is going good. I just started back at therapy since the birth of the pups.

    1. Rain here today too. Being back at the hospital is always rewarding, although Sam had an upset tummy so our best efforts weren’t fully seen. Oh well, next time, right? Have fun at your sessions!

  2. We got snow but not as much as they said. But things have been very slick and dangerous on the roads

  3. Don’t take this personally but we want you to keep the snow, we don’t want it yet. Your Canadian friends.

    1. Ha! No offense taken. Sorry, we’re sending it away from us as soon as we can. You’ll need to complain to a high order than us.

    1. When you live here, you’re tough when it comes to the weather. Even single digits can’t deter some runners from wearing running shorts with their puffy jackets. 🥶

  4. We had a good Thanksgiving in Cleveland area with family. (3+ hour drive). No snow!!!! … Some ending by your Broncos. Just think – they won 4 times more games than my team!

    1. Glad to hear you encountered no ill weather on your holiday trip. While they may have eked out a win, it’s been a terrible season from top to bottom. There were 20,000 no-shows at Sunday’s game…something completely unheard of in Bronco land. I hope management noted that and makes some changes, beginning with the coach and remember the pathetic offensive line come draft day.

        1. Your team, at least from the few times I’ve watched them, seems to have some heart. That trait went out the window at the beginning of the season here. Thank goodness ther Avalanche games are a fun watch where banged up guys lay it all out on the blue line every. single. game and provide tons of excitement. 🏒

          1. Yep – the guys here seem to be trying hard. Sometimes just get overwhelmed … but Sunday, I kept rubbing my eyes wondering where these guys came from!

            1. 😉Luckily not much longer to suffer through a lackluster season. At least your super fan got to sleep in his own bed finally. Beating the Jets is always good.

                1. 🤞🏼We’ll be cheering for you. We can no longer cheer for the local bums this season.

  5. We’ve got another rain storm coming in end of this week which means it will likely be in your ‘hood by early next week. Should make for a great ski season. Now all I need is a brand new body so I can go skiing. (Pssst Santa….) Oh well, a good choco-schnapps season is also welcome!

    1. Oh boy, can’t wait. Nothing wrong with a Choco-schnapps season that an extra large pair of sweats won’t take remedy. 😆

  6. What a great meme! Glad you are back to being functional… so much joy to be handed out.

    Happy Monday – even though it’s kinda late… 😉

    1. We take happy any time, any day! I would note that we’re still a way from ‘functional’ but managed to finally get some errands run by lots of patience and driving slowly on still snow-packed streets nearly a week after the initial storm. 😳 At least I didn’t get ‘too’ stuck in the alley. 🤯

        1. It’s boding even less than well for the mayor and city council. A pox on all of them!

  7. Very clever! Our snow storm didn’t amount to much in our area, and we only got a 3 or 4 inches. The birds still weren’t impressed, but Luke and I were happy we could easily get out for a walk today!

    1. It’s been 6 days since the first storm (only and inch or two fell Friday) but the roads are still snow-packed. It’s a zoo trying to get around. Enjoy those walks in the woods.

  8. It’s been cold, wet and miserable here, but a ” walk in the park” in comparison to what Nature has dumped on you. I have been keeping an eye on your weather and it’s not been all that great. Stay safe!

    1. The weather is bad enough, but the city’s response to the snow has been abominable. 😬

    1. Glad we tickled your funny bone today 😄 It’s always a good way to start out the week.

        1. Yeah…it’s a real pain to try and push the car off that mound and out of the way. Sometimes waiting is the only thing to do.

            1. Especially if you need to run errands. As long as there’s dog food in the house, I can wait. 😇

  9. It’s been raining here for days and it’s going to continue to rain. We’re good with that.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week ♥

    1. Glad you’re finally getting some much needed rains. Hopefully they’re helping out with the fires. Happy Monday.

    1. Isn’t it a funny one? Happy Monday to you. We hope you enjoy the most pawsome music around this week, whatever your musical tastes may be.

            1. Now you’re talking…tapping my feet and bobbing my head to tunes…rock on, dude.
