Monday Musings ~ May 4, 2020

We hope you had a great weekend. I don’t know about you, but suspect like me, you’ve been gravitating toward ‘feel good’ stories and smile inducing social media. If this 2018 America’s Got Talent entry doesn’t make you smile, then you’re either related to the notoriously famous sour-puss Simon Cowell or more likely, you have no pulse. Happy first day of the week. Keep smiling. With loads of shout outs to singing pooches everywhere, I present Oscar.

Live, love, bark 🐾

  1. Lulu: “Our Dada says when he was a kid their dog Missy used to howl like that when he practiced his clarinet. But he doesn’t think she was singing, he thinks she was telling him to stop.”

  2. That was the best version of what for song ever…How awwdorably cute😸Clean Pawkisses for a Happy Week ahead. Stay Safe Healthy and Yourselfie🙏🐾😽💞

  3. Thanks so much for sharing that, Monika. Oscar was amazing. You might recall we fostered two kelpie pups and one of them used to howl along to my violin and I did film it. He was so small and cute sitting beside me singing and now he’s all grown up and out there in the community.

    1. I’m betting your voice is every bit as good as Oscar’s. Plus your ears are a built in metronome to keep on key!

  4. I think I should put Benji on the talent show. He can’t sing but I’ve never seen any dog fall asleep at the drop of the proverbial hat the way Benji does. . Thank you for that, I thought it was better than some human singers I’ve heard lately..

    1. I’d love to see Benji compete-he could compete in stealing hearts as quick as he falls asleep.

  5. That was fun!!! Oscar has quite the talent. Mom should send in Timber’s singing along with the Shriner’s kids on that TV commercial:)

    Woos – Lightning and Timber

  6. As a confirmed curmudgeon with a general loathing for social media, when I saw your phrase in the Worpress header ‘feel good’ stories and smile inducing social media I was ready to snarl and spit. But… a singing dog! How could anyone not love Oscar the singing dog? And not just any tune but Pachelbel’s Canon in D Major. OK, you win this round.

    1. We’re not all smoke and mirrors around the Ranch. Well mostly. 😇Semi-pandering doesn’t count, does it?

  7. WOOOOOWWWWW!!!!!

I love Oscar. I was sending this to my daughter whilst watching it and she’s already texted me back with “No. Way!” LOL

  8. Awww, that was most adorable. We are doing the same thing. I’m not watching any news, but doing fun things. It’s amazing how much better I feel.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Big hug to you and scritches to the pups. ♥

    1. Happy to join a kind sweet blog hop that continues to warm my battered heart. Have a great week and particularly happy Monday. 😍

    1. Sorry you’ve had a ruff morning and glad this put a smile on your face. Stay well and keep smiling.

  9. omg that was astounding! Drew said maybe I could train Milo to squeak his toys to a song. I said he’s not really trainable.

    1. Despite his rap, he is a big animal lover. That crusty exterior seems reserved for peeps.

  10. It didn’t just make me laugh and smile – it made me cry…..everyone’s reaction to Oscar’s soulful singing was so touching. I know dogs often do this kind of thing with piano playing but at this time, at this moment, hearing Oscar was JUST what my heart needed! Thanks for sharing………….

    Hugs, Pam
