He is improving with each day. In between his post surgical care, I’m trying to draft a post on what happened to him last week. It was the scariest several days I’ve experienced for quite some time. Thank you for asking about him. 🥰
Hi Monika,
I love that Snoopy cartoon. I love anything Snoopy or Peanuts, but that one is particularly well-timed. We received a letter from the school Principal about the kids doing school from home and life during the coronacrisis and she siad it’s coing to be “clunky”. As time went by, that became a perfect word to describe the kids doing their work on zoom and then school went back on Monday with a week’s notice and it really sounds to be like many of the kids are shell shocked and don’t know whether they’re Arthur or Martha. They’ve gone gone with empty bags. Some have no food, pens, books and most it seems have become night owls and returning to an 8.30 start has also been a form of shell shock. It seems a lot of patience is required, and yet there’s that sense of needing to get up to speed. Catch up. Our Prime Minister, who is known perhaps affectionately as “Scomo” gave a speech at the Press Club yesterday. He recalled working on the America’s cup race over in New Zealand and he said the only thing which mattered was getting that boat to go faster. The exact quote was: “What’s going to make the boat go faster?” It sounded really clever at the time and I had an empty whiteboard in my kitchen and I wrote it up there. This was unusual for me. Usually, these whiteboards are used to display things, and are not for organization or thinking as intended. They fill up. When I wrote it down, it also crossed my mind that the boat also needed to arrive at it’s destination. Indeed, we have a very famous example of a boat going too fast…the Titanic. By the time I’d finished mucking around, my version read: “What’s going to make the boat go faster, but still enable us to arrive at our destination? After all, it’s not much good if the boat arrives and we’re not onboard. However, I can see for me that a bit more speed and movement is required, especially in terms of my daily walk. The sun is back out today so I’m about to head out with the dogs for a walk. Well, make that a dog. I did try taking all three and “clunky” doesn’t begin to describe it.
How are things going over there? Hope you and yours are staying safe,
Love,
Rowena
My fear is there will be a whole generation of kids whose education suffered. Here online classes are the rule for now yet as I walk the dogs, I see tons of kids out bike riding instead of being on their screens (like their parents). Only time will tell what kind of outcome results from this pandemic.
Luckily I’m in good shape, all things considering. I’ve been absent from blogging because Norman had emergency surgery last week and it’s been touch and go. I have my fingers crossed he makes it through the recovery process.
Monika, sorry it’s taken me a few days to reply to this, but I was a bit shocked at first when I read about Norman and had to read it a few times. Is he okay? Are you okay? That’s a lot to go through so soon after losing your beloved Sam.
I also heard mention that these riots had hit Denver and I hope you’re okay. My daughter is keeping a close ear on what’s going on through Tik tok. I don’t know what it’s like to be living in America atm, but it looks scary on the news. We’re thinking of you and praying.
Love & best wishes,
Rowena
We’re doing better with each day. It was touch and go for a few days but it seems clear he’s turned the corner and now wants to be back at being the big, busy boy he always has been.
First Garfield and Mondays, and now Snoopy and Wednesdays? Neither of those two had to do an honest day’s work in their lives to get their food bowls filled…
Poor Snoppy. I understand his dilemma. Every day seems much the same here. Can’t even get out at the moment because it has been raining the last few days. The question was asked “Is the drought over?” The answer was a definite “YES”. Motivation is a problem and even Benji just wants to stay curled up in bed.
I know – time is weird these days – people say it’s either so fast it’s at warp speed OR they not only have no idea what day it is but it seems like a whole week full of Mondays dragging by. Sigh.
The dogs are a lot like me. They don’t know what day of the week it is either. And they seem to continue to do fine under those circumstances. I need to be more like my dogs! Ear rubs for Jaxson and Harley. You take good care as well.
I know which day of the week it is because tomorrow is the day we can;t use the car thanks to the vehicle restrictionsm so the shopping list and to do in town list is growing by the minute. Not aided by trying to enter a website which has recently been changed making entry impossible!
They sure have begun to all run together but for some reason, Tuesday seems to be wiped off my calendar entirely. For the life of me, I cannot remember when it’s here. 🤣
How is Norman?

Poor chap…and what a shock for you after losing your dear old chap.
Indeed it was.
The Boy insists Wednesday is the WORST day of the week. No kidding. If he could, he’d close up shop and sleep the entire day 🙂
Wednesday is almost like an orphan day in the week. No one wants to claim it.

It’s finally the weekend, have a good one.
Thank you…you as well.
The days seem to be irrelevant now, honestly. But we can still be grateful about time passing and hopefully this crisis, too.
No matter what lies ahead, gratitude is always at the center of our days. Thank you for swinging by the Ranch. We 💙 visitors.
We know the feeling
Nice water color of Norman and Elsa.
Snoopy is Ressu in Finnish.
Yes! 💚
First Garfield and Mondays, and now Snoopy and Wednesdays? Neither of those two had to do an honest day’s work in their lives to get their food bowls filled…
But they are undeniably cute. Guess they’re more like squirrels than I thought.
Great cartoon!!!
We know the feeling.
I’m more like, “It’s already almost Thursday?” Somehow, there still aren’t enough hours in the day.
Boy, you can say that again!

Mom says she has to look at the calendar to be sure knows what day it is – they all seem the same to her:(
Woos, Lightning and Timber

**purrss** BellaDharma
OR….. It’s ALREADY Wednesday?
Perspective…I love it!
That’s me… 😉
😍
😘
I feel that!
Keep smiling!
We are smiling every Monday which seem to occur 7 times a week these days. Talk about living Groundhog Day over and over!
I know – time is weird these days – people say it’s either so fast it’s at warp speed OR they not only have no idea what day it is but it seems like a whole week full of Mondays dragging by. Sigh.
Hugs, Pam
Yup…nothing but Monday’s. 🤪
MOL… 😸Pawkisses for a Happy Wednesday. Stay Safe Healthy and Yourselfie🙏🐾😽💞
Thanks for reminding me what day of the week it is…they all blend together!
Isn’t it bizarre how they have all morphed into one muddied up blob, formerly known as days of the week?
Yes, they seem to be defined by pre-grocery store run and post-grocery store run in this house!
Ha! I’m thinking in terms of how soon before people mistake me for a raggedy bear with a bad haircut? LOL
LOL…yesterday I said I looked like the Wild Woman of Borneo.
Boy can I identify with THAT description! 🤣
You mean you have plans for the weekend? Good for you.
Have a fabulous day, my friend. Scritches to the pups. ♥
In the immortal words of the Dowager Crawley (played by Maggie Smith in Downton Abbey), “what’s a weekend?” 😆
true! the week is longer if every day is no longer any day… ;O)
Precisely! You nailed, Phenny.
The days continue to blend together – so grateful I have the Boys to keep me smiling. Take care my friend, stay safe, healthy and sane!
The dogs are a lot like me. They don’t know what day of the week it is either. And they seem to continue to do fine under those circumstances. I need to be more like my dogs! Ear rubs for Jaxson and Harley. You take good care as well.

Life as we used to know it is vastly different. No more operating on auto-pilot for which I’m bummed.
Wednesday is like every other day now…I have trouble remembering what day it is since they are all pretty much alike!
They sure have begun to all run together but for some reason, Tuesday seems to be wiped off my calendar entirely. For the life of me, I cannot remember when it’s here. 🤣
I’m actually happy it’s only Wednesday- lots of good stuff to do this week!
Good for you! I’m a bit of a slug, lots to do but little motivation to do them.
