Greetings Frank! Thanks for dropping in; hope this finds you well and not roasting too badly in the heat wave. I was thinking of you a couple of days ago…were your ears burning? Yes, Deborah Butterfield’s work is truly amazing using common elements.
Oh, that is soooo cool! I wonder if they can do one of a doggie? that would be super duper cool!
Maybe a doggie sippin’ a margarita…..just puttin’ it out there…
Kisses,
Ruby ♥

Damn hot here … Worse than normal. Times like this calls for being a great indoorsman.
I hear you and agree…it DOES seem worse this year. Here’s to the great indoors with certain icy beverages to help pass the time. Stay well.
🍻
Cheers!
So that’s why the seas make driftwood! For a smart peep to use for art work! How cool!! Horsey-horsey ho!!
It is a very innovative use of driftwood. And ever so beautiful.

Ha…wouldn’t that be clever?! I have seen dog topiaries but never driftwood. Either way, a margarita would be a good addition to the it.
That is awesome

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
The artist, Deborah Butterfield does amazing horse sculptures.
Wow! That is so cool! And yeah, I can see Friday… but then it is followed by Saturday and Sunday which are my Monday and Tuesday 😏
Sorry about that hill coming. Enjoy it until then.
Nah, it’s ayt. I only work 3 days per week (plus my three hours today) – I can’t really complain…
👍🏻
I can see Friday now! Just over the horizon . . .
Time to giddyup toward Friday!
It’s here! Woot!

How cool. I’ll have to check it out! Thanks.
I think we need to tear that statue down. When it was a young tree, back about 200 years ago, it said some inappropriate things about other plants.
That’s very cool!
Thank you. I could have stared at it for hours.
That’s a beautiful horse. I’d love to have this.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Scritches to the pups. ♥
Wouldn’t that make a great piece of garden art?
I love driftwood art……using just the right piece makes it absolutely come alive when they assemble it doesn’t it……..REALLY nice!
Hugs, Pam
It has the most beautiful texture of which I’m a big fan.
Very cool!
Almost makes you want to polish up the cowboy boots.
Makes me want a cat version on my lawn! 🙂
😊 Just start gathering up sticks now to assemble into lawn art which would probably be adorable and not doubt the talk of the neighborhood.
Yes, the talk would be something like “what the hell is that?”
Some people just don’t appreciate interesting artwork.
Amazing driftwood horse, Monika. Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure. The artist’s work is amazing!
love the horse!!! happy wednesday!!!
It’s a good way to ride toward Friday, right?
let’s ride off into the sunrise, not the sunset! yeehaw!
Yes, sunrises are at least cooler this week. Stay cool!
So simple, so great!
It really is yet I know I could never assemble anything that beautiful.
I want it! 🙂
Isn’t it amazing? The artist does such amazing work with driftwood.
Perhaps I should commission her to do,a trio of Golden Retriever’s for me. I wish…
Ha…don’t we all fall in that category. #artenvy
Great sculpture!
Thanks, I loved the exhibit which were all horses. Driftwood shows such amazing texture.
Do you know who the artist is?
Deborah Butterfield is the artist. She had an exhibit at the botanic gardens a couple of years ago. (https://www.botanicgardens.org/exhibits/deborah-butterfield-nature-horses). Some truly beautiful pieces.
Thank you, I’ll follow the link to see more.

Thank you! I’ll dig it out!
If a cowboy jumps off the roof of the saloon onto the back of that steed, they’re gonna be in for a surprise…
Could be a bit of a rough ride.
What a wonderful sculpture!
Thanks! Isn’t it cool? Love how the driftwood goes together to tell a story with great texture.
