Our red maples are leafless now but WOW – this year they REALLY put on the best display ever. Also lots of oranges this year too. Thanks for sharing…………

Why are those leaves embarrased?
That color is fall. More than college football, pumpkin spice, Hallmark movie specials . . . more than any of it and all of it. I love that color.
Me too mostly because it’s so rare here. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love golden leaves with our crystal blue skies but that red…oh my!

Hummingbirds feel the same way. There is just something special about red in nature.

They’re my favorites too. Probably because the reds are so sparse here. Our leaf colors lean more towards gold.

Why thank you! As you know, most trees here are more golden in color so this tree is a great departure from the norm. 🍁🍁🍁

Not so much now, mostly brown on the trees, of what is still there. The oaks seems to hang on to their leaves the longest.
