Monday Musings ~ November 1, 2021

Happy first of November! Where has the year gone? Norman is happily contributing to today’s post so take it away, Norman.

Thanks, mum. So remember when we were out the other day and you found your dream car? Umm, I don’t think a vintage Mini Cooper is in your near future, mum. Looks like size apparently does matter.

Norman

Mum and I and even the crabbish Ninja hope you all have a great week where everything is full sized and fun.

Live, love, bark! 🐾

    1. Glad to hear you’re mum is doing better this week. That’s good news! I like small cars but think this one is so small you’d never be able to see around all the behemoth trucks and SUVs on the road these days. Rats!

        1. Argh, guess my fingers were flying too fast and left off the “m” – sorry ’bout that. I’ve fixed it now. *sigh

            1. Making typos sends me into orbit (despite doing it far too frequently-sigh). Thanks for being so understanding.

  3. Normie would you FIT in the Mini-Cooper if your Mom had one???? Know what? My Mom has ALWAYS wanted a Mini-Cooper too………But I think I would fit in it !!

    Hugs, Teddy

    1. I have a pair of friends, both well over 6 feet tall who had one. It was quite roomy leg-wise.

  4. Hubby would literally cringe if we had one of those on our driveway as the next vehicle, LOL! He’s tall, and would have to fold up…or get a big crick in his neck! Even not very tall petcretary would feel cramped, she drives a big mini-van right now…when the back seat is folded down, and the middle row is removed you could practically camp in there!

But, hey, Norman, you have your therapy pup license, maybe you could get a driver’s license for that little car! Yup…as if!

    1. Despite looking teeny, there are loads of leg room in Mini’s. Who have thunk it? Norman might have a problem with the clutch though even if he has a special license. Hand/eye coordination and all. 🤣

  5. A tall gal I knew said the Mini Cooper has leg room for a couple NBA players hahaha. Maybe looks are deceiving?! Hmmm…. enjoy your new week and a brand new month to boot!

    1. It’s true, at least on the new models. I have a friend who had one and he was 6’5”. This vintage one may have lots of legroom but headroom is another topic! 😊 Thanks for stopping by the Ranch-we 💙 visitors.

    2. Your tall friend is spot on. I have a pair of friends, both well over 6 feet who had more than enough room in their Mini (though it was a late model). Makes you wonder where they put the engine?! 😁

    1. I’m quite sure I wouldn’t fit in that one! Not without being folded in half. Getting out of something that low to the ground is the real kicker though. 😂

    1. I doubt if it’s taken out much period. Not sure what’s worse these days. Freeways or street driving. People who have moved here are totally insane drivers!

  6. What a great shot of you, Norman. You’re so handsome.

I linked this post to Awww Mondays.

Have a woof woof day and week. Scritches all around, a smooch to you and a hug to mom. ♥

    1. He was pretty curious about that little car so I just had to get a pic of him. Happy Monday.

    1. I’m not sure there’s enough headroom even if the seat was removed. And it might be a challenge to drive without a seat. 😳

    1. That little Mini is smaller than my 1976 MG Midget which routinely ‘hid’ behind Volkswagen Beetles when the top was down! LOL I’m guess you guys drive a van or bus for the Thugs?

      1. A Japanese tin box….rough and high enough to take the roads, big enough to shovel the thugs in for a vet visit and pick up animal feed supplies. Pretty it is not….but it sure as hell stands out in a car park!

        1. That’s a good thing. Plus I’m guessing it’s reliable as all get-out. How the ailing Thug? Any better?

          1. The box is showing its age…..we are waiting for Leo to have official disability status in order to have a tax reduction on a replacement, while keeping this one for around the finca. Thank you, Sophie is feeling better….but we shall keep an eye on her for a while yet.
