A conversation over the weekend.
Mum: Norman, it looks like you’re blowing your undercoat. I’m finding your hair EVERYWHERE.
Norman: Relax mum, that’s not dog hair, it’s canine confetti.
Mum: ๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ {Facepalm}
Here’s to a ‘pawsome’ week. No doubt ours will beย accompanied with probably more than a little ‘confetti.’
Live, love, bark! ๐พ
I love this post
Thanks. We think it’s super important to start the week out with a smile. Who can’t smile with dogs?
Canine Confetti, I Love it!! Norm is smart. ๐ Happy weekend to you!
A smart and a very prolific confetti artist. ๐
Our Sheltie is too! ๐
As a ‘pawrent’ I wear Norman’s like a badge of honor.
Good for you!! <3
๐๐ป
We’re always amazed at how much confetti one short-haired dog can leave around the house!
Boy isn’t that the truth?!
Plenty of cat hair here. ๐
It’s nice we can take our pets with us, wherever we go!
MOL…then let’s have a pawty, Norman…MOL๐ธTriple Pawkisses for all of you๐พ๐ฝ๐
It’s time, isn’t it, Norman? It must be getting warm down there some days!
Not so much this week but definitely soon.
Lulu: “They’re just fluffy little calling cards!”
In Normanโs case, itโs a might big deck! ๐
Yup, you clean it all up, and it spontaneously reappears as soon as you get back into that one you just vacuumed!! LOL!
Benji is like Pig-pen (Charlie Brown), a cloud surrounds him all the time!
Dalton sheds, too, but he=is fur is like little daggers that pierce through everything and then you cannot remove it unless you pick put each individual bit…um…we’ll just have more insulated clothing, LOL!
Somewhere I heard about a lady who takes furs from our pets and needleworks them into mini pets. Now that is recycling/repurposing in the best way!
Egad, you mean I’d end up with two dogs the size of a moose? Norman and his recycled brethren? Yikes! ๐
Canine confetti I can do without… Zeke is EVERYWHERE.
{snorf} Would it help if you knew it was magnetic fibers of joy and love? ๐
Ummmm… nkay… let’s go with that… ๐
In the interim, slicker brushes with repeated brushing will have to suffice.
Yeah… and Zeke LOATHES being brushed…
Oops ๐ฌ
Sigh…
If itโs any consolation even with extensive brushing, Norman is a hair shedding factory.
Not really…Zeke is a tumbleweed factory. But I’ll not complain… I won’t be picking up for all that much longer. ๐
๐คฃ
I know the laugh is for the tumbleweed, not for the rest
Yup.
๐ Righto! The tumbleweed comment really tickled me since spring is tumbleweed season in Colorado. They go hand in hand with windy conditions.
I believe it! I sweep, look around, am satisfied. Close a door and whoosh!
Life is definitely a ‘wash, rinse, repeat’ cycle if you’re trying to keep up.
He’s so cute! (“pet hair, don’t care” as they say…)
That’s spot on! Pet hair is just another kind of magnetic fiber full of love and joy.
๐ Truth!
While all my cats shed (especially now), Gus seems to have boar bristles. They knit into things and you can’t get them out. The ends are pointy too! Argh! I wonder if I could sell it?
There’s gotta be a need somewhere. My son’s German Shorthair Pointer had fur like Gus. There is still his signature confetti woven into the carpet of the car even after more than 10 years of heavy duty vacuuming.
His fur is a lot like dog fur, specifically the tougher German shepherd fur.
And yet he looks so soft and fluffy like a dandelion!
I love that!!!! Confetti! My Mom calls all the furs she gets off me when she brushes me “Catfetti” !!
Hugs, Teddy
Bwahahaha! Catfetti…good one Teddy!
OH YES! You knows, Ma used to find Angel Panda’s hairs WOVEN into her clothes! she never understood how that happened, butts it did! BOL! Nothin’ betters than OES confetti!!! Plus, it makes FABulous pillow stuffin’!!! ๐คฃ
Kisses,
Ruby โฅ
Maybe I should start saving it to stuff into toys that get ‘redesigned’ by the Ninja. ๐
Benji sheds constantly. Annabell makes the complaint and I get the fun of clearing it up. Benji – he just stays in his bed and supervises. Personally, I think he is playing this “Need looking after” thing for all it’s worth.. :o)
Heh, heh…clever boy.
Ha Ha, Mom says the confetti here is more like gigantic streamers that keep increasing and multiplying:)
Woos – Ligtning, Misty, and Timber
Streamers! Love it. A friend reminded me it’s not dog hair, it’s magnetic fibers of love and joy. I think they were spot on.
Purrfect! We are blowing undercoats around here too! There is hair everywhere and in everything! We hope you have a marvellously happy day!
Spring is no longer the season of flowers, it’s becoming the season of heavy confetti! ๐คฃ
Mew mew mew guud one Stormin Norman…’Kay-nine Confetti’
Mew mew mew
***purrss*** an ~~head rubsss~~BellaDharma~~ an ((huggiess)) LadyMew
Whether it’s confetti or magnetic fibers of joy and love, there is certainly a bunch of it!
Mew mew mew wee understand Miss Monika!! ๐
Canine Confetti . . . . Norman is a genius!
And quite prolific! ๐คฃ
Quite!
Why do I wear a lot of black? Because we have a lot of black dogs….
Ha! Keeps the confetti to a minimum ๐
Ah spring is in the air and canine confetti. Loved that title for dog hair. Thanks, Monika,
I donโt feel as bad sweeping up confetti. I mean, who doesnโt love confetti? ๐
Yes indeed.
Wishing you a confetti week and then nothing but rice till shedding season again.
Tyebe
๐ Iโm good with that!
There’s a smug look on the non-shedding Maltese’s face.
Elsa said something snarky like, โsee I told I was better than that gigantic fur ball,โ to which Norman promptly stole her new toy. ๐
When my husband was going in to the office (remember those days?) he had a pile of fur that traveled with him and collected at his office desk. He used to joke that he took the dogs to work with him.
Itโs good to take oneโs pet with them everywhere ๐คฃ
As they would say on Family Feud, “Good answer! Good Answer!”
We gotta make do with what we got, right?
Maybe you can collect enough confetti to make a nice throw pillow!
Hahaha! He’s got enough to knit a whole comforter!๐
Canine confetti! That’s brilliant, Norman! We have lots of that floating around our house too. BOL!
It’s definitely confetti season for us pet owners. ๐
With our Mr. Pickwick, we have “kitty confetti”. ๐
With Sam and Elsa, I had forgotten about the confetti aspect of owning a pet. On the other hand, it’s nice to be able to take our pets with us wherever we go. ๐
Hey Norm! Wanna laugh? Watch my Mom with her vacuum now I am shedding like crazy. I’ll soon have my Spring coat. Dad says my fur gets everywhere, including places I don’t go like in the furnace thingy. Oh and he just reorganized a room a little and was amazed at how much of my fur was in the corners behind the furniture. They’re really slow in catching on ‘cos this happens throughout the year although I do peak in the Spring! Double layer coats are not only lovely and warm in the Winter, but they give us lots of laughs at the humans’ expense eh! Woof! Ray
You’re so right, Ray. Changing one’s thoughts on something like canine confetti as opposed to dog hair is helping me cope a bit better. That or I’m becoming a lazy housecleaner which is probably more than likely. ๐คฃ
๐
apparently so am I losing hair like confetti
๐
I have a friend that calls dog hair a condiment. I like your take too, Norman. I’m linking this post to Awww Mondays.
Have a woof woof day and week, Norman. Scritches to Elsa a big smooth to you and a hug to your wonderful mom. โฅ
Bwahahaha…condiment. That’s hilarious! Loads of tail and butt wiggles from the Ranch hands.
covered in dog hairs is better than to go nekked ;o) it’s a sign of honor, because it shows that a dog loves you ;O)
It’s always good to ‘take your dog with you’ wherever you go. Happy Monday.
Hey Norman, being a Sheltie, AND…losing my puppy coat, i think I got ya beat on “canine confetti” BOL!! Love, Levi
Guess we’ll both be stocking up on vacuum bags. ๐คฃ Having had poodles who don’t shed for so long, I had ‘forgotten’ about the confetti.
