A conversation over the weekend.
Mum: Norman, it looks like youāre blowing your undercoat. Iām finding your hair EVERYWHERE.
Norman: Relax mum, thatās not dog hair, itās canine confetti.

Mum: š¤¦š¼āāļø {Facepalm}
Hereās to a āpawsomeā week. No doubt ours will beĀ accompanied with probably more than a little āconfetti.ā
Live, love, bark! š¾
I love this post
Thanks. We think itās super important to start the week out with a smile. Who canāt smile with dogs?
Canine Confetti, I Love it!! Norm is smart. š Happy weekend to you!
A smart and a very prolific confetti artist. š
Our Sheltie is too! š
As a āpawrentā I wear Normanās like a badge of honor.
Good for you!! <3
šš»
Weāre always amazed at how much confetti one short-haired dog can leave around the house!
Boy isnāt that the truth?!
Plenty of cat hair here. š
Itās nice we can take our pets with us, wherever we go!
MOLā¦then letās have a pawty, Normanā¦MOLšøTriple Pawkisses for all of youš¾š½š
Itās time, isnāt it, Norman? It must be getting warm down there some days!
Not so much this week but definitely soon.
Lulu: āTheyāre just fluffy little calling cards!ā
In Normanās case, itās a might big deck! š
Yup, you clean it all up, and it spontaneously reappears as soon as you get back into that one you just vacuumed!! LOL!
Benji is like Pig-pen (Charlie Brown), a cloud surrounds him all the time!
Dalton sheds, too, but he=is fur is like little daggers that pierce through everything and then you cannot remove it unless you pick put each individual bitā¦umā¦weāll just have more insulated clothing, LOL!
Somewhere I heard about a lady who takes furs from our pets and needleworks them into mini pets. Now that is recycling/repurposing in the best way!
Egad, you mean Iād end up with two dogs the size of a moose? Norman and his recycled brethren? Yikes! š
Canine confetti I can do without⦠Zeke is EVERYWHERE.
{snorf} Would it help if you knew it was magnetic fibers of joy and love? š
Ummmm⦠nkay⦠letās go with that⦠š
In the interim, slicker brushes with repeated brushing will have to suffice.
Yeah⦠and Zeke LOATHES being brushedā¦
Oops š¬
Sighā¦
If itās any consolation even with extensive brushing, Norman is a hair shedding factory.
Not reallyā¦Zeke is a tumbleweed factory. But Iāll not complain⦠I wonāt be picking up for all that much longer. š
š¤£
I know the laugh is for the tumbleweed, not for the rest
Yup.
š Righto! The tumbleweed comment really tickled me since spring is tumbleweed season in Colorado. They go hand in hand with windy conditions.
I believe it! I sweep, look around, am satisfied. Close a door and whoosh!
Life is definitely a āwash, rinse, repeatā cycle if youāre trying to keep up.
Heās so cute! (āpet hair, donāt careā as they sayā¦)
Thatās spot on! Pet hair is just another kind of magnetic fiber full of love and joy.
š Truth!
While all my cats shed (especially now), Gus seems to have boar bristles. They knit into things and you canāt get them out. The ends are pointy too! Argh! I wonder if I could sell it?
Thereās gotta be a need somewhere. My sonās German Shorthair Pointer had fur like Gus. There is still his signature confetti woven into the carpet of the car even after more than 10 years of heavy duty vacuuming.
His fur is a lot like dog fur, specifically the tougher German shepherd fur.
And yet he looks so soft and fluffy like a dandelion!
I love that!!!! Confetti! My Mom calls all the furs she gets off me when she brushes me āCatfettiā !!
Hugs, Teddy
Bwahahaha! Catfettiā¦good one Teddy!
OH YES! You knows, Ma used to find Angel Pandaās hairs WOVEN into her clothes! she never understood how that happened, butts it did! BOL! Nothinā betters than OES confetti!!! Plus, it makes FABulous pillow stuffinā!!! š¤£
Kisses,
Ruby ā„
Maybe I should start saving it to stuff into toys that get āredesignedā by the Ninja. š
Benji sheds constantly. Annabell makes the complaint and I get the fun of clearing it up. Benji ā he just stays in his bed and supervises. Personally, I think he is playing this āNeed looking afterā thing for all itās worth.. :o)
Heh, hehā¦clever boy.
Ha Ha, Mom says the confetti here is more like gigantic streamers that keep increasing and multiplying:)
Woos ā Ligtning, Misty, and Timber
Streamers! Love it. A friend reminded me itās not dog hair, itās magnetic fibers of love and joy. I think they were spot on.
Purrfect! We are blowing undercoats around here too! There is hair everywhere and in everything! We hope you have a marvellously happy day!
Spring is no longer the season of flowers, itās becoming the season of heavy confetti! š¤£
Mew mew mew guud one Stormin Normanā¦āKay-nine Confettiā
Mew mew mew
***purrss*** an ~~head rubsss~~BellaDharma~~ an ((huggiess)) LadyMew
Whether itās confetti or magnetic fibers of joy and love, there is certainly a bunch of it!
Mew mew mew wee understand Miss Monika!! š
Canine Confetti . . . . Norman is a genius!
And quite prolific! š¤£
Quite!
Why do I wear a lot of black? Because we have a lot of black dogsā¦.
Ha! Keeps the confetti to a minimum š
Ah spring is in the air and canine confetti. Loved that title for dog hair. Thanks, Monika,
I donāt feel as bad sweeping up confetti. I mean, who doesnāt love confetti? š
Yes indeed.
Wishing you a confetti week and then nothing but rice till shedding season again.
Tyebe
š Iām good with that!
Thereās a smug look on the non-shedding Malteseās face.
Elsa said something snarky like, āsee I told I was better than that gigantic fur ball,ā to which Norman promptly stole her new toy. š
When my husband was going in to the office (remember those days?) he had a pile of fur that traveled with him and collected at his office desk. He used to joke that he took the dogs to work with him.
Itās good to take oneās pet with them everywhere š¤£
As they would say on Family Feud, āGood answer! Good Answer!ā
We gotta make do with what we got, right?
Maybe you can collect enough confetti to make a nice throw pillow!
Hahaha! Heās got enough to knit a whole comforter!š
Canine confetti! Thatās brilliant, Norman! We have lots of that floating around our house too. BOL!
Itās definitely confetti season for us pet owners. š
With our Mr. Pickwick, we have ākitty confettiā. š
With Sam and Elsa, I had forgotten about the confetti aspect of owning a pet. On the other hand, itās nice to be able to take our pets with us wherever we go. š
Hey Norm! Wanna laugh? Watch my Mom with her vacuum now I am shedding like crazy. Iāll soon have my Spring coat. Dad says my fur gets everywhere, including places I donāt go like in the furnace thingy. Oh and he just reorganized a room a little and was amazed at how much of my fur was in the corners behind the furniture. Theyāre really slow in catching on ācos this happens throughout the year although I do peak in the Spring! Double layer coats are not only lovely and warm in the Winter, but they give us lots of laughs at the humansā expense eh! Woof! Ray
Youāre so right, Ray. Changing oneās thoughts on something like canine confetti as opposed to dog hair is helping me cope a bit better. That or Iām becoming a lazy housecleaner which is probably more than likely. š¤£
š
apparently so am I losing hair like confetti
š
I have a friend that calls dog hair a condiment. I like your take too, Norman. Iām linking this post to Awww Mondays.
Have a woof woof day and week, Norman. Scritches to Elsa a big smooth to you and a hug to your wonderful mom. ā„
Bwahahahaā¦condiment. Thatās hilarious! Loads of tail and butt wiggles from the Ranch hands.
covered in dog hairs is better than to go nekked ;o) itās a sign of honor, because it shows that a dog loves you ;O)
Itās always good to ātake your dog with youā wherever you go. Happy Monday.
Hey Norman, being a Sheltie, ANDā¦losing my puppy coat, i think I got ya beat on ācanine confettiā BOL!! Love, Levi
Guess weāll both be stocking up on vacuum bags. 𤣠Having had poodles who donāt shed for so long, I had āforgottenā about the confetti.
