Dalton loves some crunch, hence, carrots, cucumber, and wee bits of lettuce/ cabbage ribs. sometimes a slice of cauliflower, and of all things mulberries!
Benji likes all of those, minus mulberries…kale ribs are on the hot list, and both pups love cheese, PB and human naughties such as potato chips, etc. The are pretty much billy goats.
Since they like crunchy thing, I tried celery, raw green beans, and peas, and asparagus, but they both saids no thanks…Apples?? Sometimes, sometimes not, which is weird.
That is a funny cartoon!
Yay…your comment came through! Thank you for being persistent.
Sounds like your pups love fruit and veggies. Bravo!
Mew mew mew Wilson you are a Poochie of furry GUUD taste!!
~~~head rubss~~~ BellaDharma~~~ an ((hugss)) BellaSita Mum
Thanks but I think he I would have preferred a cheese cube over that cuke! 😂
I’m with Wilson, cukes are a great snack.
He was ok with that one but I’m sure he’d opt for a cheese cube next time. 😂
Nothing wrong with that.
Haha 😂😂 Happy Monday! I mean Tuesday! 😊
Hope Monday was good and Tuesday has been even better. even
Woo-Hoo! Maybe Wednesday will be even more better!
Hope springs eternal. Luke I always say, every day is a good day…some are just better than others. 😊
Absolutely!! 🥰
Make that Like…not Luke. Doggone autocorrect on the phone. So aggravating. Sorry.
WILSON! I have missed you. It’s Mom’s fault though. Now she’s finished with what kept her from getting to many blogs though she read them..I did too, Mom!!! So gad to see you. Mom is trying to recall what her dog Jack loved as a snack and she said a carrot of all things!!
Thanks so much for swinging by-we’re always glad to see you! Carrots are a good choice for cleaning teeth, or so the vet tells me but they are a high glycemic veggie so Mum limits them for me. Besides, she knows I prefer cheese cubes. BOL Thanks again for dropping by. Have a snack filled week!
Your fur-iend,
Wilson 🐾
Lulu: “Crunchy vegetables are the best, aren’t they, Wilson? Cucumbers, carrots, lettuce bones, radishes ― if it crunches, I am there for it!”
Good for you, Lulu. No wonder you can dash about with a cutting horse’s moves after Bean. You’re fueled by veggies!
Rosy and Sunny have recently discovered Trader Joe’s Chicken Chips! They only get 1 a day, because they have a bit more sodium than I would like, but they are the new “doggy crack” around here lol
That’s too funny. Makes you wonder what’s in those chips that is so appealing. 😂
Teddy looks at me like I have two heads if I offer him a “good for him” treat! I try though……..!
Hugs, Pam
Hahaha! Don’t you just love ‘that’ look? 🤣
Some dogs like carrots, too. Cucumber is “salad cookies”!
Salad cookies…hahaha…love that. Wilson likes carrots but I still think his favorite veggie is either green beans or broccoli. Then again, he’s never pass up a cheese cube when it comes to snacks. Hope it’s been a great Monday for you.
Very healthy indeed! Freddie loves strawberries, he plays with them, rolls over them and then he eats them!
A toy in a built in snack…I love it! Hope it’s been a great Monday. May all your snacks be tasty and entertain you. 😉
That looks like a healthy snack.
It is but only if you like the taste of cucumbers. I hardly ever buy them but they were included in the charcuterie board. No one ate them so I wanted to see if Wilson would like them. He ate it but I could tell he wasn’t wowed by them. Hope you’ve enjoyed a tasty Monday!
I think I sent my comment to the wrong place.
All of our dogs enjoyed carrots. They were also know for stealing green beans off the vine in the garden. Maddie loved green beans.
aren’t apples good for dogs too? I make applesauce cookies for them
cucumber… lol
may be desperation ! that said, I love cucumber and a charcuterie board sounds lush right now
LeeAnna and Alfie who would not like a cuke but any beans are good
Plain old apples are good for dogs (just not the seeds which contain arsenic). I’m not a fan of cukes either but they were part of the leftovers (why am I not surprised nobody else wanted to nosh on them?) and Wilson seemed to enjoy it but not doubt would have preferred a cheese cube. The broccoli and cauliflower were the number one item eaten from that board. Wilson is enjoying veggies with his dinner. 😉 Here’s hoping you and Alfie have a tasty week.
Tempeste likes raw carrots, and Twiggy loves yogurt. They only get the treat once in a while.
Wilson gave a resounding paw of approval to their preferences and actually thinks snacks should be more freely doled out. We have that discussion on a daily basis. I have to remind him there are no free snacks-you gotta earn them.Have a terrific Monday!
Oooh, green beans are a favorite around here too. A couple of angel dogs were quite the ‘harvesters’ of raspberries.
We hope you have a great Monday.
EVERYTHING!!! (Except Chia, who will only eat her fruit when it’s in her meal.)
The meme is so funny…and true!
“Everything” seems to be a popular choice among many dogs. Wilson hopes everything that falls on the flood is a cheese cube though. LOL Happy Monday.
LOL!
I once rode on a elevator in a NYC apartment building with a lady who was feeding her dog baby carrots. The CRUNCHING was so loud, LOL!
Wilson enjoys a carrot every once in a while but I limit them because they’re a high glycemic food but I know many pet parents who are in favor of them to help clean their teeth. I can’t imagine riding an elevator with a dog crunching on them. Here’s hoping any snack encounters this week are much quieter. Happy Monday.
We had a cat who loved cucumbers. If we left a bowl of salad on the table – unfinished and unattended, she would hop on up, pick out the cukes and gobble them up!
😲 Whoa…I’ve never heard of a cat enjoying veggies much less cukes. Thanks quite wild. Have a fun filled Monday and week, Dale!
She was something else, that one!
Goodness, I didn’t know you liked cucumbers Wilson, you are cool as a cucumber!!!
He didn’t know he liked them either. LOL But I’m guessing he’s love them more if they were cheese cubes. Happy Monday, Terry!
Reiko’s new found food love is peanut butter.
Peanut butter was a favorite of Elsa and Sam. It fact I made peanut butter pill pockets for years to give Elsa her anti-seizure meds and was so good about taking them. As kids we used to give a teaspoon of PB to the family dog and laugh like fools as it stuck to the roof of his mouth and the tongue worked extra hard trying to get to it. Kinda cruel but totally hilarious. Here’s hoping you and Reiko’s week is nicely snack filled. Happy Monday.
I love that food pyramid. Works for humans too. Not well, but still.
You’re so handsome Wilson.
I linked this post to Awww Mondays.
Have a fabulous day and week. Scritches to Wilson and love and hugs to mom. ♥
Thanks, Sandee. It seemed to perfectly describe 99.9% of all dogs! Thanks for adding us to your Monday hop. You’re the best. Happy Monday.
Um, that falls under “Dogs eat anything”.
Totally. Dogs enjoy everything that seems to fall on the floor in particular. Most of the time, I’m sure Wilson hopes it’s a cheese cube. Have a snack filled week, Jacqui!
A Golden Retriever must have developed that food chart. My girls will eat literally everything with the exception of lettuce and celery. Golden to the core!…. Hope you and Wilson have everything you need to make the coming week a good one.
Hahaha…I think in the dictionary under ‘retrievers’ it says “Will eat anything.” Hee’s wishing you and the Golden Girls a yummy snack filled Monday.
The thugs turn up their collective noses at fruit and veg…..won’t even snaffle the bits that fall to the floor….but let a sliver of meat fall and there is a nuclear powered rush to the spot.
Hahaha…at least they know what they like. Here’s hoping a sliver of cheese or other tasty morsel graces their path this week. Have a wonderful Monday, Helen.
I, Olivia, like to share apples with my mom every day and Nelson likes a piece of banana. Bailie used to eat banana but she doesn’t want any fruit these days. We all eat veggies with dinner and I really love carrots. Mom doesn’t like cucumbers so we have never had one.
Glad you guys eat your veggies and fruit too. My Mum isn’t a fan of cukes either but had wanted to use up the veggies left over from her charcuterie board. They aren’t bad, but I prefer apples over them. 😉
Your fur-iend,
Wilson 🐾
Not sure if first comment went through. Cats don’t eat people food. They would turn their nose up at cucumbers or apples. Now give them Friskies and they are off to the races!
Interesting. They just don’t know what they’re missing. Have a terrific Monday!
Your fur-iend,
Wilson 🐾
ha! the nelly is happy … he found something today what ended as a nuclear meltdown… the mama and the washer are in a state…
Peace on Monday’s is very welcomed! Here’s hoping the rest of the day goes well for da Nelly.
Sweet! I love cukes, too, Wilson. 🙂 The only green Wren seems to like is grass… both she and the cat like the wheat grass I grow for them. 🙂
Thanks, Eliza. Wilson pretty much loves all veggies and fruits, unlike Sam or Elsa who both were picky about what they’d snack on. We hope you have a wonderful, snack-filled Monday!
