Santa Saturday

A certain little Ninja probably initiated this lawsuit. How about you, did you follow in her pawsteps this year?

Happy Saturday. The Ranch received about 9-10 inches of the white stuff last night so I know what I’ll be doing this weekend-digging out! Hope your weekend is shovel free. Stay warm, cozy and have a cup of hot chocolate for me.

Live, love, bark! <3

  1. Merry Christmas! We enjoy reading about Elsa’s progress as she goes from being a mill dog to becoming a family dog. How old is she now? Our Standard Poodle Wilhelmina turned a year old Nov.29th. Doesn’t time fly and isn’t it enjoyably when there is a Spoo in the house?! 🙂

    1. Tails Around the Ranch – Denver, CO – The inspiration behind this blog was one knuckleheaded Standard Poodle named Sam but is now inspired by a House Pony-Wilson. I'm Monika, the upright. Living in the Denver metro area, we post about dogs, rescue and nature. So grab your favorite beverage and be prepared to howl along with our adventures. And don't forget to bark your 'pup-tacular' comment; we'd love to hear from you.

Thank you for the ‘howliday’ wishes. Elsa joined the Ranch 3 months ago. The vet thought she was about 4 years old. She’s learning how to become a dog (with big brother Spoo Sam helping her) as well as learning how to navigate the epilepsy seizures. Now that the dosage has been figured out, she’s 2 months seizure free – woof!! 🙂 Thank you for swinging by our Ranch. We ❤︎ visitors, especially fellow Spoo lovers.

  2. My Golden Life – Upstate South Carolina – I love animals, especially dogs. I enjoy US history, and reading biographies of our former presidents and other historical figures. I love the music of the '60s and '70s since I was growing up in those decades. I love the Beatles and Andy Williams equally.

Love that cartoon!! Watched the grinch and Charlie Brown and the gang in bed last night.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL (EVEN THE NAUGHTY NINJA)!!!! ☃️🐶❤🐾

  3. Lady has joined the class action. No more potatoes Santa unless they’re roast potatoes.
No snow shovels around here either…just beach spades.
All your talk about shovels and digging reminded me of something nasty to do with spades and it took awhile to return to my poor fried brain.
Ah! Spadework! A word from my single days where you’re using digging yourself into a deep hole falling for someone interested in someone else.
    The things we forget…

  4. As soon as I clicked on your blog I remembered that you had a news story I was going to report. Dang! Anyway, that is a LOT of snow. Just for the record, I have never seen a snow shovel in Louisiana. LOL! Stay safe out here. ♥

We can go see snow if we feel the need. It is only 2 to 3 hours away. Nice to see but not fun to have to live with. Thanks.

I agree with you. I’d love to see it on the nearby mountains, just not on my front porch!

  6. Sand Spring Chesapeakes – Cambria, WI – My husband and I have six "furry" children Gambler, Glory, Guilty, Slammer, Gertie and one cat Bones and two furangel's Norman and Nellie. We breed Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. We are both avid hunters. We also enjoy competing with our dogs in hunt tests and field trials. That is where you can find us during the trial months which are April-September. When were not at a trial we are busy training our dogs. We go snow goose hunting in Canada each year and do all the hunting that Wisconsin offers.
    Sand Spring Chesapeakes says:

We got a bunch of snow too!! And now really cold!

  8. For some reason, the dogs all get the zoomies when there’s fresh snow. Then they warm up in front of the fire. Pretty rough life.

  9. No snow here, just cold rain. If it does snow, I am just going to stay under a blanket inside and wait for it to melt.

How funny, but, like someone said, a little too close to the truth. Seems like you can sue anyone for anything these days. We were in the 50’s (F) today, but it didn’t feel like it. I was in a Wreaths Across America ceremony this morning and it was pretty cold….feet especially.

  12. Naughty or behaviorally challenged? 😉 Bear prefers the latter.

  13. colinandray – S. Ontario, Canada – My profile photo is of Ray. Despite the fact that I had never had a dog in my life before him, and despite the fact that he carried more emotional baggage than I could ever imagine, he carved for himself a huge niche in my heart.

Snow and ice and snow here! We we’re working on it!

  15. Cold enough for snow at the Golden K but no precipitation. Wouldn’t mind a couple of inches but yeah, would not so much to have to shovel. Even though we now live in the mountains I’m still a NoCal suburban weather wimp! :). Have a great weekend and don’t shovel too hard.

🙂 But first I’m gonna have to find the shovel! It may have blown over last night and is buried…somewhere! Have a nice glass of red for me while you’re wimping. 🍷
