Stop and Paws for Nurse Sam

We recently came across this poem and I think it sums up our pet therapy work nicely. What do you think?

Clickity, clickity, clickity, clum…

down the long corridors here I come.

Through the halls and past the rooms,

by the buckets and the brooms.

Sniffing the way for someone in need,

just reach out your hand this I plead.

Then as a dog, I will know it’s okay,

for me to share my love with you today.

I’ll wag my tail and perk my ears,

and you can use my fur to dry your tears.

I’ll lick your face till you smile,

I’ll even sit with you for just a while.

So don’t let your head hang so low,

I pass no judgment, this I know.

I just want to love on you right here and now.

and be the VERY BEST DOG FRIEND I know

how.🐾

I am on Bloglovin', Katzenworld Forum and I am on Linked In. I live in a small town in Pennsylvania. I also like taking pictures and writing poetry. I've met Maya Angelou and that was a WOW experience. I love hot wings. I love cats, dogs and most other animals.

  6. My Golden Life – Upstate South Carolina – I love animals, especially dogs. I enjoy US history, and reading biographies of our former presidents and other historical figures. I love the music of the '60s and '70s since I was growing up in those decades. I love the Beatles and Andy Williams equally.

  12. Little Miss Titch – UK – I'm Titch, I'm female Rex cross Lop whos following Angel Speedy Down his Rabbit Hole. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge 19/05/2021. And was a male Himalayan Rex Rabbit who wasn't afraid of any thing. A pirate and Buccaneer and Captain of the SS.Speedy ,and was a knight of the realm with his own kingdom of Speedom. I loved getting into scrapes and having fun which has been passed down to me. So my Mum wanted to share my adventures with everyone so that everybody can love me too! I would love for you to share your stories with me about your rabbits and other pets too! My mum has had other Bunnies before me,one called Thumper who was a black and white Dutch and another one called Caramel who was a caramel coloured lop both went to the Rainbow Bridge a long time ago. Together we also write my Wild Hedgehog Diary and Bird the Jackdaw, an interesting read to check out about the comings and goings of these little visitors to my Garden.

  13. Sand Spring Chesapeakes – Cambria, WI – My husband and I have six "furry" children Gambler, Glory, Guilty, Slammer, Gertie and one cat Bones and two furangel's Norman and Nellie. We breed Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. We are both avid hunters. We also enjoy competing with our dogs in hunt tests and field trials. That is where you can find us during the trial months which are April-September. When were not at a trial we are busy training our dogs. We go snow goose hunting in Canada each year and do all the hunting that Wisconsin offers.

      We really can’t lick (it’s a big no-no actually) so I just sniff around trash cans looking for lunch crumbs. Though that’s not the best thing, a strapping boy like myself needs energy when I visit with patients, right?
