We hope you had a pawsome weekend. This meme pretty much describes everyday life when you own a dog made even more applicable at this hectic time of year. Here’s to a week of neglecting one’s appearance in favor of spending time with Knuckleheads.
Live, love, bark! 🐾
SO true! I used to be an obsessive cleaner, and everything in the house, and about myself, had to be “just so”. That all gradually changed when I got dogs, and went completely awry when we got our chickens! LOL
Dogs are life’s way of keeping humans humble. 😊
ha ha Yep! that’s our house!

It’s 99.9% of all pet owners homes I suspect.
So you share the fire hydrant with your dogs? How efficient!
With a girl, hydrant territory isn’t a problem. Two boys on the other hand…
Yes, yes, yes and no. I very early in my life drew the tine in the sand – the small room is “off Limits” .
That was smart training on your part!
Oh, so true!!! And don’t forgets washing the slobber off the walls….and your hair. I likes to spread it around! heheheheheeeee
you guys are just too funnies!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
😁 we’re just seasoned, Ruby. Very seasoned. LOL
Yup!! Though Ducky doesn’t stay long (re peeing by oneself).
Funny how they just wonder what you’re doing and then leave. That part always makes me wonder if they think “oh good, she’s busy…let’s get into trouble!”
Another parrot advantage, we don’t pee, just poop.
Now that delivered a good chuckle!
And it’s absolutely the truth with pets.
Thanks for the laugh
Happy to oblige. And thanks for swinging by the Ranch. We ❤️ visitors.
And for some of them (like the jerk who stole a pick up after your dog sign) I almost wish it’d flown out of a wave. 👿
One more to add to the list: Waving to your neighbor with a poo bag in your hand. Admit it. We’ve all done it. 🙂

Curse you, WordPress.
This is hilarious… our first family pet was a mighty Mini Dachshund, Toto. We adopted him when our daughter was 3. Never peeing by myself oh you surely heard me giggle. If I closed the bathroom door they sat at the door, Toto whimpering alternately with sticking his paw under the door and my daughter asking “Mommy are you ever coming out?”
Hugs cecilia
Whimpering, whining, scratching, a mom never gets to pee in peace in quiet. 🤣
With two dogs and four cats, I have given up dreaming about clean floors. No point dreaming about the impossible.
Clean floors are overrated. At least that’s what I tell myself. Hahaha
that’s applicable to cats too! lol!
I can just picture those little paws reaching under a door beaconing mom to come back into view.
What a fun and TRUE Meme LOL!
It sure makes sense around the Ranch!
So now I have permission to not mop my floor for the hundredth time? LOL! 🙂
Absolutely! A home is not a real home without drool marks or paw prints tracked across the flooring. 😂
… and fur building up behind furniture, the furnace filter looking like a fur (dog fur) coat!
😆
😊😊
That meme forgot to add never having clean windows from all the snart (nose prints) on them. BOL!
Around my house those are lovingly referred to as nose art by master artists. Bwahahaha!
All I have to do is fart loudly on the toilet (or off) and Xena goes running.
Goes or comes? 😊
She runs away.
Not just knuckleheads though. Glorious knuckleheads who make everyday an adventure.
Happy Monday Monika
An adventure…and then some. ☺️
Hahaha!
For cats too! The only time I go to the bathroom unaccompanied is during their post meal nap. Otherwise it’s an escort or if I actually close the door (how dare I?) there is a paw or two under it trying to open.
It’s a known fact that all huMoms need chaperones according pets’ house rules. 🤣
Good one Monika, and I bet all dog owners are going to relate at some point! 🙂
Well one thing is certain…we can all identify by it!
🐬😂🐬👀🐬
I think the thugs are training us…anything not put in the washing basket is collared by Scruffy and made into little heap on the floor in the kitchen so that she can use it as a bed, completely ignoring her own bed.
One of my Old English Sheepdogs used to do a similar thing by taking soiled sweaters out of the basket destined for the dry cleaners and sleep on them. Despite having a bed in early room. Guess he liked the scent of me more than himself. 🤣
Scruffy can only reach them if they are on the edge rather thanpushed right down inside – or if Higher Authority has missed the basket when throwing stuff towards it, but one she has her prey she is happy as a sandboy.
Gotta love giving them that kind of joy.
The contented look on her face is well worth it.
I love these. My dogs are convinced there is a back door in the bathroom through which I might disappear forever if they didn’t keep watch.
If one is able to shut the door for a moment of privacy, there’s that loud sniffing under the door that makes you hurry up like crazy, lest it evolves into full on whining or worse, barking.
So true. Thanks for the laugh, Monika.
We always like to begin every day with a smile and are pleased you like this one. Happy Monday!
that’s funny, and true.
It really nailed it. At least around my house.
I so remember this. So very true too. Love it.
Have a fabulous day and week, my friend. Scritches to the pups. ♥
So very true. Have a super week, Sandee!
Ain’t that the truth!!
Have a fabulous week of neglect and joy!
🍻Today, tomorrow, indeed as long as a dog muddies my floors. Cheers for a happy Monday.
There ya go. Am there, doing that. 😉
🍻 (one day together!)
🤞🏼
🙂
me too LOL
When the socks match I feel dressed up. LOL
