~ Tails Around the Ranch

Welcome to the Good Friday edition of Nature Friday. As always, we’re joining our hosts, Rosy, Sunny and Jakey from LLB in Our Backyard.

Nature has been conspiring against us most of this week with ongoing high winds every day, making Wi-Fi sporadic at best. The laptop did a death gasp and am now trying to post something from my phone. People who are able to function that way have my greatest admiration.

As I’m clearly inept in my feeble attempts of trying to post from a phone (trying to insert images is beyond challenging), I’ll just end this painful exercise by hoping everyone has a Happy Easter, Passover or Ramadan…whichever holiday you celebrate.

Hopefully we’ll be back and fully functioning online next week. Till then, do good things, smile and be kind. But for heavens sake, make sure to get outside and enjoy some of the Nature shares. Had I been able to figure out how to add additional photos, you no doubt would have agreed with me. ☮️

    Computer issues always happen at the most inopportune times…I tried posting from my iPad once…what a disaster that was! I just told peeps see you later! LOL! I imagine using a phone is even harder because of the smaller screen…I haven’t even tried that.

    I wonder if those giant eggs have giant chocolate treats in them, LOL! Well, one can dream, right??!

      The small screen is a problem but worse is the different platform. And it’s sooo different from iPads too. WordPress with its stupid blocks doesn’t make things any easier

      Yeah, there was just a “little bit’ of bribery for the bunny ears. 😆 more surprising was getting them to sit fairly close together. That’s unheard of!

  2. Little Miss Titch – UK – I'm Titch, I'm female Rex cross Lop whos following Angel Speedy Down his Rabbit Hole. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge 19/05/2021. And was a male Himalayan Rex Rabbit who wasn't afraid of any thing. A pirate and Buccaneer and Captain of the SS.Speedy ,and was a knight of the realm with his own kingdom of Speedom. I loved getting into scrapes and having fun which has been passed down to me. So my Mum wanted to share my adventures with everyone so that everybody can love me too! I would love for you to share your stories with me about your rabbits and other pets too! My mum has had other Bunnies before me,one called Thumper who was a black and white Dutch and another one called Caramel who was a caramel coloured lop both went to the Rainbow Bridge a long time ago. Together we also write my Wild Hedgehog Diary and Bird the Jackdaw, an interesting read to check out about the comings and goings of these little visitors to my Garden.

  3. Benji – Florida – Dogtor B, an ex-shelter dog, became a therapy dog in October 2016. He loves to talk about his endeavors, his little brother Sky, and life in general as an American expat in New Zealand.

  7. BellaDharma an BellaSita Mum – On Georgian Bay..... – Welcome to THE Purrfect Pad. My name is Sherri-Ellen & my current Kitty Girl is BellaDharma a black part Siamese cat. I started blogging in August 2005 on Yahoo 360 with Mingflower my Bluepoint Siamese. Then transferred to Multiply...Mingflower went to Summerland & NYLABLUE my BluePoint Siamese/Burmese cross took over. When Multiply was closing a handful of our blogging friends recommended WordPress & we found a home here & made many new friends. Everyone followed the antics & struggles of NYLABLUE until her passing Nov. 22nd, 2014 to Summerland. A week later a little bouncing Burmese boy I met at a local adoption event joined me here! Dec. 9th, 2014. Purrince Siddhartha Henry came to live with me & regaled us with his journey towards 'Enlightenment'. He was a Burmese Buddhist with many health issues but he searched for meaning in his Life. After his lifelong struggle with Panleukopenia. Siddhartha Henry lost his battle & left for Pure Land August 28th, 2018. He was only 4 years & 1 month old. I've never totally gotten over the loss of my "Little Man". And this is where I get VERY serious. This Purrfect Pad blog is not all sunshine & roses. This blog is about REAL life with special needs cats who come into my life. We share our time together & we share the good, the bad & the ugly. This is a REAL blog. Yes we DO laugh & have fun & take Selfies! And we share each cat's struggles whether health issues or behavioural problems. And we share about my ongoing battle with 3 health conditions that can render me unable to walk plus having Cirrhosis of Liver & Seizures. We ask our friends & followers to respect that THE Purrfect Pad is anything but 'purrfect'. I am disabled & each of my cats' have had special needs. Everyone is welcome here as long as you are kind & respectful. If you have questions feel free to ask them. Sept. 6th, 2018 BellaDharma aka Baby Girl joined THE Purrfect Pad.   8. I totally get it. I’ve never even TRIED to post from my phone! We hope you have a great weekend and that your weather settles down soon! We’ve finally been getting some spring weather, with of course the appropriate (or maybe excessive) amount of April showers. However, I see snow in the forecast this week, so as usual winter does not just want to leave quietly without a last gasp…..

  13. John W. Howell – South Texas Gulf Coast – I have been working in business for over forty years and now have the time to work in special areas of interest. My passion has always been to create compelling stories of fiction. I have authored six novels and am working on my Seventh. The first novel is still in manuscript form and being utilized as a door stop in the laundry room. The second is a contemporary fiction novel of 89,000 words and is complete and I am currently seeking a publisher. I also write poetry but have not had the guts to share any with anyone. The one time I read a piece to a person their only comment was, “it doesn’t rhyme.” I will continue to write and hopefully my blog, Fiction Favorites at www.johnwhowell.com will provide some entertainment and an interesting thought or two. I live in the Austin area with my wife Molly and an assortment of loving pets.

  14. We’ve had high winds and cold weather for over a week. Very little rain though. Today it’s nice out. Perhaps spring is coming back.

    Love your nature post and the pictures are fabulous. You know how I love seeing your babies and especially Norman.
