Is it really Monday…again? Mom said I could do today’s post. Elsa here. I’ve been using this Field Guide for my early morning walks which ‘pawfectly’ shows the Wild Kingdom of critters in my world. Norman only seems vaguely interested in the grumpy or bouncy squirrels. I on the other hand, am all in on every squirrel category. It’s what us Ninjas do.
We hope you have a terrific week and manage to avoid any of the ‘danger squirrels’ on your hunts. I’d also avoid the spicy ones too. Blech. Besides, it’s likely better for your digestion any way.
Live, love, bark! 🐾
Just goes to show that squirrels of all kinds are adorable!
Not sure stinky is all that adorable. But to each his own. 😇
We seem to have an over-abundance of the “Grumpy Squirrel” around here. Never caught any, but Benji gets some extra exercise.
I view them like an exercise machine for Elsa. 🤣
So many squirrels, so little time.
More like too many squirrels! 🐿
Hahaha!
Lulu: “SQUIRREL!!!”
Charlee: *sigh*
That’s right, Lulu. In all shapes, colors and sizes.
Hahaha! Love the variety of “squirrels”! Happy rest of the week, Monika!
Thanks, hope the balance of the week is ‘pawsome’ for you as well.
Thank you. Should be. Going to see a symphony on Thursday 🙂
Enjoy the diversion!
Hope I can stay awake for it!
This has been a very “squirrelly” year so far – more squirrels than ever before. We have hawks that know that and perch in trees and wait…..my Mom gets very upset when they dive down and catch one. I used to run after squirrels in our yard but at 28 lbs. I’m not as SWIFT as I used to be! As for that last photo of you looking up into the tree – just be careful that you don’t (wait for it…….) BARK UP THE WRONG TREE! HAHA
Hugs, Teddy
Hahahaha…good one, Teddy!
Hmm we only have Squirrels, Flying Squirrels, Grumpy Squirrels and Bouncy Squirrels in our country. Though I have to say Bouncy Squirrels look suspiciously like Bunnies to me. In my Garden we have Hedgehogs, Squirrels and lots of different birds and Then there’s Jo the Crow who comes to visit and sits on mummy’s should, arm or her knee and I like to chase him *Giggles* xoxo Little Miss Titch
Elsa is completely mesmerized by you ‘bouncy squirrels,’ Miss Titch and think she only chases therm because they dash away so quickly whenever they seer us. With a few hawks, some foxes and a couple of coyotes, Elsa would be the least of their worries. Plus I’d never let her get close enough to threaten them (or those spicy ones 😲). We L💙VE bunnies!
It’s good to hear from you, Elsa! Gotta watch those squirrels.
They’re furry devils, in Elsa’s estimation. She hates ‘em!
So many “Squirrelss” Elsa! Wee have a “sky Squirrel” who vissitss efurry so offen named Bandu.
An wee have a travellin “Spicy Squirrel” named Pierre….
NO ” Sneeky orDANGER Squirrelss” thanxfullee!
Wee DUE have “Bouncey Squirrelss”. Pawentss are Mindy an Bindy. THE littel oness are Cindy, Lindy, Windy an Indy……
Have fun with all yore “Squirrel” frendss!! 😉
***nose bopss*** BellaDahrma an {{huggiess}} BellaSita Mum
Fun for Elsa would be to capture one of those ‘friends.’ 🤣
‘angel’ Unkell Siddhartha used to try to catch “Stripey Squirrelss’ aka Chipmunkss….when hee cott Chewy each time hee nevurr new what to due with Chewy. BellaSita wuud meow “Put THE Chipmunk down!” an Unkell wuud, mew mew mew……
That is hysterical. I love them all but especially the possum!
It cracked me up. Elsa thinks there’s only one way when dealing with 🐿 as evidenced by her treeing photo.
My father in law used to have a Sheltie who went ballistic when the squirrels ran back and forth on the telephone wires that went across his backyard…which they did pretty much every day.
The dogs love (more like go nuts when they cross the power lines overhead, well Elsa mostly) watching squirrels on our walks. Once, one of them fell off of the power line just a few feet away from us. He popped up shaking his head and dashed off before we could even react. Mom still laughs about it.
Your fur-iends,
Norman & Elsa 🐾
Love it…endless entertainment!
We have squirrels racing back and forth across the streets right now. It is like they are being timed in order to qualify for some kind of Squirrel Olympics. Call ours Speedy Squirrels!
The squirrels in my ‘Hood are just plain hoodlums. Elsa and I are definitely not fans and could do well without their ‘entertainment’ value.
I just learned that those Spicy Squirrels can carry rabies. Talk about a double whammy!
No kidding, as if being spicy wasn’t bad enough!
You need to pass this by the Evil Squirrel.
I’m sure he’ll see it and give me some kind of ‘feedback.’ 😇
😀 Yeah, stay away from the spicy and danger squirrels!
You know it!! 🦨
Sunny totally agrees with you Elsa…a squirrel by any other name…is still a squirrel!!
Tree rats are Elsa’s nemesis. One of these days though…
This is adorable! Thanks for putting a smile on my face! 🌞
Always a pleasure. It’s important to start each week with a smile.
Lots to be careful of right there… Yikes.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
There is, luckily most of them are quicker than most canines. 🤞🏼 Even speedsters like Elsa. Happy Monday.
I don’t think we have danger squirrels around ere…thankfully! Maybe further north.
We do have plenty of those spicy ones, though. Yikes! Though even though we live in a rural area, we don’t see them much…just their aromas, LOL!
On the other paw, our aunty who lives in a urban area has a family of those rascals trying to live and repopulate themselves under her shed. She can’t even let our doggy cousin in her own yard! She hired an exterminator to deal with them…but next year maybe some of their relatives will try again…they are an eternal issue around there, LOL!
We do go nutzo for any regular squirrel and even the kitty type ones outside. (Though we were scared and very respectful of Pipo when he was still here with us.)
Elsa mostly takes care of keeping the tree rats at bay, except when she naps and then they make the most of a safe perimeter for them. Doggone it. Troublesome little varmints. My sister’s dog has had 3 encounters with the spicy ones this year alone. She can’t seem to filter her extreme dislike of them. 😆
Loved the danger animals
They’re all real…in Elsa’s mind. 😉 Happy Molnday.
😊
Tree rats are evil and our Angel Little Bit was just like Elsa. She wanted to chomp their heads.
Have a fabulous day and week. Scritches to the pups, a smooch to Norman and a big hug to mom. ♥
Elsa goes bezerk over tree rats but then again, she has a high prey drive around any critters than scamper past her. Happy Monday, Sandee. Norman sends pupster kisses.
My cats view everything as cats. There was a Canadian goose in our yard once. Jake sat next to it. His take was it was the ugliest cat he ever saw. Then there were the cats that look like deer. Huge! Must have eaten their Wheaties!
Bwahahaha! Gotta love a very self assured kitty!
Jake was fearless. I had to rescue him from a coyote because Jake thought he was a big goofy cat.
Gulp…😳
Ok, maybe dumb is a better descriptive.
Bwahahaha!
The danger squirrel reminds me of helping Danilo remove porcupine spines from the throat and face of his dog…..there is a method. You clip the end of the spine which releases the hook at the impact end. Then we had a fright with Mr. Darcy….but that turned out to bejust cactus spines when his lordship had been investigating the possibilities of cactus as an addition to his diet……
Cactus smoothies can be quite tasty but what chore to make them safe. I hope I never have to utilize the remedy for the ‘danger squirrel.’ Ever! Happy Monday.
