Monday Musings ~ December 18, 2023

As we quickly move toward the food and sweets time of year, our old Indian Hills pal, Vince Rozmiarek posted this sign. It struck me as fitting for this holiday season, where over indulging seems to the norm. Are you ‘thick and tired’ this holiday season or have you maintained?

    1. That Vinceโ€ฆheโ€™s a real hoot and does puns well. Hereโ€™s hoping youโ€™re fairly ready for Santa.

    1. Awk…don’t tell my Mom-she’s always monitoring my weight to make sure I don’t add any weight to stress my arthritic hips. I still like to enjoy a decent meal as much as the next dog.

    1. Thanks, Frank. It seemed especially fitting this week. Hereโ€™s wishing you a furbulous last week before Christmas.

    1. Good for you. I was going to say I have not yet begun to fastโ€ฆ๐Ÿ˜† But Iโ€™ll probably have to start thinking about it.

  1. Oh, I generally add an inch or two for ‘insulation purposes’ in the fall… it generally comes off in the spring when I start gardening again. Meanwhile, let nothing get between me and the treats! ๐Ÿ˜‰

    1. Weโ€™ll likely be a bit of both. Hereโ€™s hoping the last week before Christmas goes smoothly for you. Happy Monday.

  2. It was always…”I’ll resume eating better after the Holidays.” However, as I’ve gotten older the extra pounds aren’t as easy to melt away…so for the last few years it has been…”I’ll eat better for most of the Holidays.” (“most” is a relative term lol…) Happy Monday, Monika!

    1. Thanks, Vince is legendary around the Denver area-his Indian Hills signs greet locals and visitors and always put a smile on their face. Have a terrific Monday!

  3. We are all fit, but we love our snacks. Working out is fun and we do a lot of it so we can eat more. Mom misses eating all the holiday goodies but now that she has cut out pretty much everything called food, no more sweets. She was always thin and fit but her health issues scared her into eating only whole foods, vegan, and no sugar or processed foods. Can you say lettuce? Better her than us! Have a great week!

    1. Your mom is smart-sugar is not a wholesome food. I wish I was better at rejecting it. Wishing you guys a wagnificent week!

    1. We’re running double time on the Christmas hamster wheel. ๐Ÿคฃ Best wishes to you and your sweet fur-babies!

  4. I’ve maintained. We will have a fattening dinner for Christmas, but then back to the regular diet.

I linked this post to Awww Mondays as always.

Have a fabulous day and week. A big hug to you and lots of scritches to Elsa. โ™ฅ

    1. January may need to be very lean around the Ranch, too! Enjoy the season. And thank you for including us in your Monday blog hop. You’re always so kind and gracious and we appreciate it. Hugs and tail wagsโฃ๏ธ
