  1. Bwa ha ha. Substandard poodle. I love it!

Of course he understands every word you say. Heck, poodles are smart, smart, smart. He can probably even read this blog post. 🙂

Usually Honey listens very well. But I found the limits of her listening/obedience/understanding today when she couldn’t tear herself away from all the stinky fishing equipment of my sister’s neighbor. I guess every dog has his or her limits.

    1. Tails Around the Ranch – Denver, CO – The inspiration behind this blog was one knuckleheaded Standard Poodle named Sam but is now inspired by a House Pony-Wilson. I'm Monika, the upright. Living in the Denver metro area, we post about dogs, rescue and nature. So grab your favorite beverage and be prepared to howl along with our adventures. And don't forget to bark your 'pup-tacular' comment; we'd love to hear from you.

Truth be told, Sam is the first standard I’ve owned that is dumb as a stump. At least it seems like it but may be he’s just more stubborn than the other who would do anything to please their mistress. But he’s adorably sweet and the patients adore him. Honey always looks ‘thoughtful’ in her photos, so maybe she’s assessing any potential outcome to input of her’s. 😉 Happy weekend.

  2. Where is that dog? I saw him around here just a minute ago. I’ll bet he was just “snorkeling” – popping up to check things out before diving back in the bushes.

🙂 Snorkeling when he was supposed to be helping. Lazy dog. 😉

Sam would not be a good “Hide and go Seek” player.

Ha! You’re too kind, Bacon. Sam appreciates it. He thinks he’s so mistreated. He actually was supposed to be helping in the garden but instead he just napped. This was one moment when his head popped up to see what was going on. 😉

Oh that’s right, I completely spaced Bastille Day out. Happy belated. Drink loads of water for hangover. It’ll help but espresso is ALWAYS good ANYTIME. 🙂
