Saturday Smiles

it’s the weekend, let’s start it with a smile. I’m certain Sam said this to our groomer last weekend. Hope yours is happy. 🙂

Hahaha!… So cute! 🙂 Love and best wishes! Aquileana :star:

  2. This reminds me of Max’s never ending battle to keep his groomer from putting feathers, bows and other ornaments and decorations on him.

    1. Tails Around the Ranch – Denver, CO – The inspiration behind this blog was one knuckleheaded Standard Poodle named Sam but is now inspired by a House Pony-Wilson. I'm Monika, the upright. Living in the Denver metro area, we post about dogs, rescue and nature. So grab your favorite beverage and be prepared to howl along with our adventures. And don't forget to bark your 'pup-tacular' comment; we'd love to hear from you.
      Tails Around the Ranch says:

Yeah, that’s just dumb. Sam can’t shake his head enough to get those silly things out. No self-respecting pup likes those accouterments. 🙂

  4. I am BOL trying to imagine Sam with one of those crazy poodle cuts! I definitely prefer the ‘organic-handsome’ style he wears so well. 🙂

He does seem to ‘wear’ it well. I just don’t see him as Liberace. 😉

  5. Marty the Manx – I am a handsome Tortie Manx mix. I live with my brother Ralphie a Grey Tabby whom mom calls her "Grey Man". We also share our house with Mazie the big Yellow Lab, Abbe, Anne and Bree who are Chinese Crested Powder Puffs. We all live with our mom in Iowa in the United States.
    Marty the Manx says:

Haha! I am SURE that is what Jessie says when he comes home all floofless 🙂

  6. pussycats3 – Florida – My name is Carol. Welcome! This blog is all about my two cats; Patches and Rusty. They are my keepers of sanity, laughter and comedy. My household saviors. Unfortunately, Romeo has left us and there is a void, of course. But, we will continue as best we can. I know Rusty misses him very much. They played together and ran around the house, chasing ghosts. My hope is that you enjoy Rusty and Patches through their photographs and iPhone videos, taken by an amateur photographer (me). I use my LG android phone to take photos now. It's easier and the results are quite satisfactory.

Love this cartoon. Very clever. 🙂

  7. Kismet – New River, Arizona. – I'm a 16 year old Indian Ringneck parrot curmudgeon in New River, Arizona in the wild west country. If you're a sunflower seed, you're dinner.

Kaci and especially Kali wouldn’t just stay in the chair-they’d be as far away as they could in a very short time.

  8. My Golden Life – Upstate South Carolina – I love animals, especially dogs. I enjoy US history, and reading biographies of our former presidents and other historical figures. I love the music of the '60s and '70s since I was growing up in those decades. I love the Beatles and Andy Williams equally.
    My Golden Life says:

That is just TOO funny! I grew up with miniature poodles – and my own first dog was a large toy/small mini – but I never liked those “fru-fru” cuts, especially on the male poodles. I used to cringe every time Mom brought Coco, Pixie, or Boo home from the groomer. “How can you DO that to the poor dogs??” I would ask. And when I took over Boo’s parenting after Mom passed away, I insisted on the puppy cut. At least she looked like a dog and not some canine circus clown. And when I got Kissy, it was the same deal. The one time her groomer gave her the bracelets – against my wishes – I was pretty steamed at him. He never did it again though.

The puppy cut is the easiest to maintain too. 🙂 Have a swell Saturday!
