Wow, you two look amazing!! Those are some fancy-dancy hairdo’s, I’ll bet you’ll be turning heads big time!
Love & Biscuits,
Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them
Cold mornings but a pleasant 15C during the day. Sorry but painted, multi- coloured dogs are not for me. I like my Benji just the colour he is. Still, when all is said, a bright way to start the week – even if you don’t agree with it…
Iβm with you. I needed something bright this morning. In hindsight I should have indicated in the post how against this practice I am. Thatβs what Photoshop is for!
My first reaction was that these puppers were tattooed as part of the national LGBTQ Pride Day activities. You know, rainbow dogs. But maybe it’s just Poodle Pride, which should, of course, have its own day of celebration.
Except when you think about the chemicals used. That part makes me sad. But the colors are very uplifting and much needed today after being kept awake by a sick pup most of the night.
fun! I saw a girl at Pier 1 with fuchia to golden hair and it was gorgeous. Of course she did it on her own but what fun. I used to color my hair and would now but for allergies
Personally I think if you want to do that on yourself, that’s your choice. Your dog on the other hand doesn’t have a say in exposure to potentially hazardous chemicals. This coming from someone who just had a bright blue streak put in their own hair. π²
Until I read some comments, I had not realized that these were real dogs. It had not occurred to me that people could do that to dogs! A dog is a noble animal, not a mannequin (on the catwalk).
Enjoy your week,
Pit
Probably not likely, I have to bathe and groom Sam later this afternoon for our hospital visits beginning tomorrow. It’ll be ok, I’ll just will need LOTS of coffee!
I don’t know, I think I’m too used to coffee for it to wake me up. For that, I need tea. If I brew that with a lot of tea and a very short brewing time, that helps.
Choppy should count her blessings every day that she is not light-colored.
Many years ago, my grandparents’ German Shepherd wandered into the small town near them at homecoming. The high school’s colors were purple and gold – and so was the dog when he returned home! (He likely enjoyed the whole thing immensely).
Very trendy, and I have recently read alarming reports about this kind of thing. Sam is lucky to have a Mom who is smarter than this. π Give the pups a big kisses for me, and wishing you all a great week.
wow – thatβs an eyeful to wake up to. The rest of the day will be black and white in comparison. I only hope that those dogs were photoshopped and not painted.
Oh Lawdy, those poor Poodles! If I had ever done that to Kissy, my Mom would have reached down from Heaven and smacked me (HARD!) upside the head! But, back then such hair paint was not available.
On that note, one day – back when Ducky was barely a year old – I was headed down to daycare to pick Ducky up and I saw a woman walking her Golden Retriever. At first I didn’t even realize it was a Golden because she had had the poor dog painted.
Are you ready for this? The poor dog was painted BRIGHT PURPLE! Like King George VI’s regal robes, only brighter! I almost pulled over and read her the riot act. Golly-damn! When will people learn that stuff trigger carcinogenic reactions??! Goldens are susceptible enough to all sorts of canine cancers. Why increase the chances?!
Rant away, friend! Personally, I’m not in favor of dying dog fur in any way, shape or form. And doing that to a Golden is criminal in my books. I only used the image to wake up since one dog decided to have a bout of colitis and woke me several times during the night needing to go outside. Poor thing. I’m a bit of a zombie now. After yesterday’s hail storm, we have a lot of moisture in the air with cool temps this morning. It was 48 when we left the house at 6 AM. As in glove weather! I know I’ll be jonesing for it once the temps rise to the 90’s this week!
Me too. I’m not functioning very well and neither is he which is doubly sad since he’s up for hospital duty this week which means a bath and groom job today. π€π€π€
Perfect!!
π
Oh my Goodness! That is very colorful!
I know, it almost hurts the eyes!
They look like Big Bird and Phyllis Diller. Seriously, look at them!
And I agree that critters should only be colored the way I do it…. in Photoshop.
You know, you’re kind of spot on! π²

They are pretty fancy but are not us-we’re not fans of coloring dog fur. π Thanks for swinging by the Ranch though. We π visitors!
It’s a very Happy and Colourful morning today, Sam and Elza π Pawkisses for a same day as well π <3
Mom needed the bright color to keep her awake!
Crap. Nows you’re giving Ma ideas. Not good. Not good at ALL! sigh.
Kisses,

It was a rough one but that brightened my day!
Happy to make to day a tad brighter for you. π

Holy cow! You wouldn’t miss them in the crowd! π
Those rainbow pups do make us smile, but we hope no one ever tries to do that to us:)
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

* “dyed” not tattooed Got to stop the day drinking. π
A tattoo wouldn’t surprise me given the owner dyed their dogs like that. I know, I know…stereotyping again. π
Poodle Pride? You know, I like that idea!
No one could be sad with brightly covered poodles around
Except when you think about the chemicals used. That part makes me sad. But the colors are very uplifting and much needed today after being kept awake by a sick pup most of the night.
haha beautiful poodles, love big bird.

Haha!
Is this photo shopped? I sure hope so for the dogs’ sake!
Sadly no. If I hadn’t need a shout of color to stay awake, I wouldn’t have used it. This is animal abuse IMHO.
I think so too. Dress up your pets all ya want, but don’t be coloring their hair since they can’t protest such a thing . . .
You want to jeopardize cancer that’s your business, but don’t foist it on defenseless pets when they depend on you keeping them safe.
This be true.
Awww, this is adorable and colorful. I linked this post to Awww Mondays.
Have a woof woof day. My best to your peeps. β₯
π Thank you for the link.

I couldn’t agree more. Because I’m operating on less than 3 hours of sleep, I needed a jolt to stay awake.
Less than three hours of sleep?! Definitely NOT good. Can you take a nap during the day?
Probably not likely, I have to bathe and groom Sam later this afternoon for our hospital visits beginning tomorrow. It’ll be ok, I’ll just will need LOTS of coffee!

I’ll keep that in mind. Right now, the ‘dirty’ chai is hitting the spot. βοΈ
I’ve never had chai.
Spicy and very tasty.
Spicy! So maybe not for me. π
If you like cinnamon then you should try. If not, then no.
Thanks for the advice. I guess it’s rather “no” then. π
π
That’s worse than tattoos.

Thanks Amy, a good week to you and yours. Seeing dogs like this breaks my heart. It’s not like they’re dolls!

Me too. I think dying any dog is crime.

Oh No!! Poor Puppy! And Poor Mom, too! Is the pup feeling better?
Not yet, I’m hoping the kaopectate kicks in soon. The bland rice and pumpkin has lost its allure after a couple of meals. π
Aw, poor baby!! I hope it kicks in soon, too!! I hope you’ll be able to get a nap in today!
