Sam drew a bit of a crowd yesterday in the ER Dept. Two more doctors and another nurse joined the group right after this photo was taken. Dang, if only he liked people, although this might actually qualify as a harem in some books.
Happy mid-week. We’re back at West Pines today hopefully bringing more happiness.
Live, love, bark! 🐾
Love, love this picture! I am sitting here, catching up on all the blog posts I missed in the last two frenzied weeks. I am off tomorrow but, as soon as I get back, I do want to try some of your CBD oil for Ottie. His arthritis is so bad but I don’t want to switch to steroids.
Have a great time. We’ll be here when you get back. 😊
What an awesome crowd
I cannot tell a lie…I LOVE nurses! 😍
Your fur-iend,
Sam🐾
Wagnificent work Sam.
You pawsitively have what it takes to keep those humans happy my furiend.
💜 nose nudges 💜
😊 Many thanks.
Thanks!
Sam! <3
OH Sam! this last spring mom took me to a health fair to help with our dog training booth. When we walked in I had a whole bunch of nurses gather around to pet me. I did not know what to think!
hugs
Mabel
Hazel too
Nurses sure love us dogs because we help keep their stress levels nice and low so they can take care of peeps. 😍
Your fur-iend,
Sam🐾
That is five more ladies than I’ve ever had fawn over me. I’m jealous…
Sam plays up his ‘vulnerability’ quotient. Says it works on nurses, every time.
R.F.S. Oh another song!!!
O Lord it’s hard to be humble, when you’re perfect in every way
I can’t wait to look in the mirror,”çause I get better lookiin’ each day;
To know me is to love me, I must be a heck of a poodle
O Lord it’s hard to be humble, ’cause this visitin’ sure if a doodle…
Oh ok, I cheated on the last two lines…….
You’re one heck of a composer! I think Sam will probably start humming this one around the house.
Sam is acting like one who never gets attention. 😉
It’s true, he never gets any attention at home. 🤣 just typing that makes me giggle.
Awww. What a great picture! I know they all loved seeing sweet Sam! I’m also sure you brought lots of happiness to West Pines today. Dad was in the hospital last week – 3 days in the VA and 3 days at a local hospital to get a pace maker implanted. Anyway, the reason I tell you this is that someone brought a female shepherd therapy dog in his room at the VA. Unfortunately, it was as they were getting ready to move him to the other hospital, so I only got to visit for about a minute. She laid down and rolled over for me to pet her tummy. The owner said I was special, because she didn’t do that with just anyone. I needed the snuggles, as I was missing my Tippy. Thank you for all you do for those who need a little snuggle time, Sam. It means a lot.
I am so sorry to hear the news about your dad. I hope his surgery was a complete success. I firmly believe these dogs know just what patients and their visitors need. Sam, Elsa and I send oodles of poodles of healing thoughts for your dad. 🐩
Thank you so much. So far, he seems to be doing great and is actually feeling better than he has in a few months. Once he can use his left hand again, he’ll be pretty much back to normal, I think. He is 86, so is doing fantastic. He and my mom are so active still. They can work me “under the table” most days. LOL
Glad to hear your dad is doing well. Our parents are close in age and seem somewhat similar. VERY A.c.t.i.v.e. It warms my heart to see seniors living full lives in their 80’s!
Me too. We made sure the surgeon knew what “normal” activites were before he said he could go back to doing whatever he wants. So, farming, sawing wood, fishing, etc are fine. That is amazing to me, but so thankful for the medical technology that allows seniors to live active lives longer than they would have in the past.
😇
Your dog is too cute! I have a black lab that was at one of those adopt a dog shelter open house & that’s where we found our Charlie!!! Charlie hates dog food & sometimes I put people food in it & mix it in and then he’ll eat the whole bowl, but if he doesn’t like it he won’t eat. Hubby says he’ll eat when he’s hungry. NOPE… any suggestions???
Thanks for swinging by the Ranch. Sam has always been a ‘casual’ grazer, picking at his bowl throughout the day. I put bone broth on his kibble to entice him to eat before his chow-hound Ninja sister eats it first. Most of the time it works. Good luck.
Grrrr – our comments are not appearing here. Let’s try again. Spotlight on Sam – sweet boy!!!
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
It showed up! 👍🏻
Spotlight on Sam!!! Why not – he deserves it – sweet boy!!!

Sam, you are like a rock star there!! ♥
A Rock Star with his groupies. Those ladies love having the dogs visit (a recent phenomena).
Great job, Sam! You clearly made a great impression on everyone in the ER
Thanks, Ruby. I love the ER peeps!!
Your fur-iend,
Sam 🐾
**Hi 5’sss** Sam….
You have THE Love of the Ladiess! Purrfect!
**paw patsss** BellaDharma
He definitely likes the girls. 😊
My male peep saw that and wants to be reincarnated as a dog. It would serve him right to come back as a female one.
{Snicker} 😊
What a special light Sam shines on those around him. Keep giving Sam and Monika.
Jean
He has such a sweet nature; always makes my heart sing when he’s working. 😍
Great pic …….. and so Ray! Even when he was at his most anti-human, he would soften up faster with a “girl”. To this day he has always gravitated towards women much faster than towards men and, not entirely coincidentally, as much as he wags his tail in my company … he is definitely more attached to Carol!
Ray is no ordinary fool now, is he? 😁
Certainly not! 🙂
You sexy things, Sam!
He’s quite the dog! 🤣
wow, wish I was that popular and cute!
I’m always grateful the attention is focused on him. He wears it well.
What a great shot. I linked Sam to Wordless Wednesday. So cute.
Have a woof woof Wordless Wednesday, Sam. My best to your peeps. ♥
Aww, thank you!
A perfect Wordless Wednesday of hero worship.
That’s a super sweet thing to say. Thanks!
Sam you salty ol’ Dawg!
Aye, mate…that he is!
Yep, that’s a harem!
And a happy one at that, thanks to Sam.
That knucklehead just loves the ladies!
Hahaha!
Sam, how many pups can do a good deed while stealing hearts! Your friends, Lucu, Xena and Amy
He steals hearts almost as often as Hoovering up crumbs from the floor. Yet he won’t eat a single thing if it falls out of his dog bowl! BOL
I have to eat fast what’s i and out of my bowl of Lucy eats it. Xena
Sam, I’m sure you made their day. Not sure if you know I worked in an ER for many years and would have loved your stopping by. You’re such a good boy. <3
We did not know that. Bless you for that work! The hospital just recently began allowing the therapy dogs to visit ER and the staff is over the moon.
That visit probably made a big difference. I know it would have for me. I absolutely love that you two are doing this. We need more things like this posted to counter so much negative news out there. I wholeheartedly thank you for what you’re doing and sharing it. <3
Thank you, Paulette, I think it was a bright spot in their day. I know they sure made ours. Sam was in hog heaven with their attention and fed off their ‘pawsitive’ energy.
