Monday Musings ~ April 1, 2019

Holy cow, it’s April…how did that happen? April is the pretty month, sweet and full of springtime promises. Today also happens to be my baby sister’s birthday so I’m sending her oodles of poodles of digital birthday greetings. Happy birthday, sweet sis! Can’t wait to give her birthday hugs in person later this month.

The Knuckleheads celebrated her birthday over the weekend with Elsa making confetti for the occasion.

We hope you had a wonderful weekend and today offers a fresh new slate for exciting adventures this week. No doubt these two are planning more ‘pawsome’ fun. I can hardly wait.

Live, love, bark! 🐾

    1. Thanks! They always manage to bring the ‘pawty’ wherever they go. 😁

        1. I agree. April is the perfect month for transitioning from winter doldrums to warmer days.🌷🌷🌷

            1. I hear that; we’d had snow in the first week of May for the past couple of years!

  1. I can’t wrap my head around it being April already! Happy birthday to your sister!

  2. Happy Birthday to you sister! Glad you’ll get to be together later in the month. Love your picture. Too cute. At least Elsa was trying to help prepare the party decorations. BTW, I’m with you. I don’t know where the first 3 months of the year went!!!!

    1. Thanks so much for the birthday wishes! Yeah, oh boy…Elsa, the ‘pawty’ planner. Makes me shudder at the mere thought. 🤣

    1. In her defense, I snatched it up before she had a chance to eat the whole thing or make kitten confetti 🎉

    1. Living in Texas she probably wouldn’t appreciate the snow cone so much but would on the greetings. She’ll be here in 3 weeks, so maybe she’ll get to experience it in person. 😈

  3. That explains a lot. There’s something to the astrology thing. You have a family member born on April 1 and my peep’s dad was born on October 31.

    1. We have 3 peeps born on the first of the month and one on Christmas Day. The year my sis was born was April Fool’s Day AND Easter Sunday. 😊

  4. Do you remember when there used to be pastel colored T-paper? That would have made pretty confetti. ~ Amy

I stole the wool dryer ball out of the laundry today, but Mommy made me give it back. If there is “ball” in the word, it really should be mine.. ~Xena

    1. Elsa tried to eat my wool dryer ball even though she isn’t very interested in balls. Must just be the wool part since she seems to enjoy noshing on wool socks. #ohthatdog!

  5. Yum, tissues. I love ’em. Happy Birthday Elsa, you beautiful thing. I’d like to meet you… I’ll be the one with bits of tissue stuck to my feet. Milo

    1. It’s not Elsa’s birthday, but my sister’s, not Sam’s. I’m sure she’d love Milo’s confetti though-she’s ❤️poodle mischief. 😉

  6. Happy Happy Birthday to your sister!! A great way to start off the celebration of Spring with a birthday to celebrate! 🙂 Enjoy! Just make sure that Sam and Elsa don’t eat all the cake! 🙂

    1. Thank you for the birthday wishes. I’m keeping a very watchful eye on the Ninja; she’s most like to filch any cake. 😍

  7. Our Lucy has always had a thing for shredding those softener sheets you put in the clothes dryer. She will search the laundry basket until she finds one and then shred it and walk away like, “Mission accomplished”. Have a blessed week.

    1. My last OES was the consummate tissue shredder. I had to switch out every waste can for ones with lids throughout the house. She was a real pill. Thanks for swinging by the Ranch. We 💖visitors!

    1. Here too. It always ‘looks’ so innocent and then dumps 4″ of white stuff on tulips and daffodils. Luckily it goes away quickly.

    1. They are keeping their paws crossed for loads of plants to sniff at, and in Sam’s case, to water. ☺️

    1. Thanks! I’m sure the Knuckleheads will have enough celebratory hijinks up their paws for a great birthday.
