Monday Musings ~ April 6, 2020

We’ve begun to notice a certain “large beast” around the ‘Hood who’s been adapting to the natural habitat. Norman

Elsa wasn’t particularly keen that her special space had been co-opted by the likes of said beast. Not that he seemed to care one whit.

Wishing you a lovely Monday. We’re beginning to look forward to a visit from the Easter Bunny. I wonder what he’ll look like?

Live, love, bark! 🐾

  1. I wonder if it ever occurs to Elsa, “Oh, hey, maybe THIS (seeing one’s sibling on one’s bed) is what bothered Sam!” Maybe he was too good-natured to let it show though. A new sibling is always an adjustment – especially for the former new sibling 😉

    1. Norman has a very similar disposition to Sam but Elsa is less connected to Norman; Sam pretty much taught her how to be a dog. Alpha female dogs can be a challenge and she’s ok around Norman so long as he isn’t hugging her mama’s attention.

    1. No kidding! Give that boy a pillow or bolster and the snores can’t be too far behind 😇

    1. Me too. Some times she’s fine then other times… it’s like she’s a cat! 🤣 You just never know who’s who…or when or where.

    1. We’re hanging in there as best as we can. Hope you are too and your mum is getting better with each week.

    1. He’s getting to the “oh gosh, he really needs a haircut “ stage. #stilladorable

    1. Nope, she’s being a pill-and one with a lot of baggage given her many years in a horrific puppy mill cage. She’s lucky he doesn’t swat her into the next zip code. 😇

        1. That’s a real possibility. Though he shows that same patience and sweetness to all he’s met. And in the past few days, he’s started to come over and drop that big fat head on my leg when I’m on the laptop. Sam used to gently lay his head there before. I get teary eyed just thinking Norman’s could be following in Sam’s paws. 🥰#beyondmywildestdreams

          1. From the way you describe him, it only makes sense to me.
Awwww… He does, does he? There. Confirmation for my empathy comment.

  2. Awww, I linked this post to Awww Mondays. I couldn’t help myself.

Have a fabulous day and week, my friend. Big hug to you and scritches to the pups. ♥

    1. As always, thanks, Sandee. He’s a real sweetheart who just can’t help but being aww-worthy. Have a great day and week! 💖

  3. HA! We’re hoping the bunny brings TP too….it weighs less than chocolate and doesn’t make me gain weight either. It’s a win/win. Happy Monday!

    Hugs, Pam

    1. He’d love to share his sofa with you. Encountered his first cat a couple days ago and he seemed to like that ginger boy very much.

    1. Sharing is encouraged; ensuing snarkiness in its absence is not. She learns to chill and not act as if the universe revolves around her. My gawd…she’s acting like the neighborhood millennials!! 😳

  4. Poor Elsa… a big sweet boy dog playing with her stuff, lying on the bed, bumping into her and probably taking up a lot of the sidewalk. Hows a girl to be in charge of that???

    1. She only seems to really object to him taken up my attention. Elsa it seems, does not like to share much, especially where I’m concerned.

    1. I know! It sure ain’t me. The jury is still out for Elsa. *sigh* #wishIcouldgetheronboard

        1. I’m not insisting she become his BFF, just be civilized and not go for his throat every time he gets close to me. 😇#stopwiggingout

            1. “Pawfect!” That will be our training focus for the day/week/month/forever. 🥰
