Today is June 24, 2024. There are 190 days left in the year. Let that sink in. Training Wilson to not go insane whenever he sees a squirrel remains an ongoing project although he is getting a little better but when I saw today’s smile, I had to chuckle. One benefit of walking this dog is I never have to worry about doing any upper body weight training.

We hope nothing holds you back this week. Make it a great Monday.
Live, love, bark! 🐾
Haha!! That made me laugh 😀
Glad you enjoyed it.
This reminds me of a comic I saw recently where a cat dressed as a mailman delivered squirrels to the mailbox of a house with a crazed pup in the window. Haha!
How funny! Wilson would definitely approve of THAT mailman!
MOL MOL…you made our day😹😹Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day to all of you🐾😽💞
Thank you. That makes us so happy to hear.
ROFM/ROFL!!!! Miss Monika yore Wilson iss so liek BellaSita’ss Bogart Sam used to bee!!! This comick iss heelareeus! Thanx fore a guud laff an meow!
~~~head rubss~~~BellaDharma~~~ an {{{hugss}}} BellaSita Mum
So pleased you enjoyed our smile. We thought it was ‘pawfect’ giving Wilson’s penchant for hunting squirrels. 😉
I have two of those incorrigible pullers, too…but I wouldn’t dare let loose of the leash(es)…they would take off to who knows where!
I use front D-ringed harnesses, that helps a wee bit…but when two pups want to go after the same ‘prey’ the double leaded leash is horrible. So I don’t use that anymore, I wind each separately on both my wrists, and Heaven help me if they charge unexpectedly. Its very tempting to do two walks so i only have to control one pup at a time…
Cute cartoon! Reminded me of our Angel MJF
Boy do I know what you’re talking about! I think I’ve tried every single kind of leash/harness & combo made. Separate harnesses just makes sense especially with deep chested dogs who may or may not pull when they see a hoodlum squirrel. Once I thought I’d be clever with a tandem leash since it seemed like I had too many things to handle but that soon proved idiotic soon enough-we got twisted up real fast. 😉
LOL that’s funny, both Wilson and the cartoon
Wilson says thanks. Sheepdogs are known as the comedians of the canine world. Happy Monday!
ha! when Milo pulled, I dropped the leash, he panicked and ran back to walk gently by my side. When I picked up the leash he began pulling again, safe that I was still there I suppose
L.
How funny! Wilson is a Velcro pup but all bets are off when it comes to squirrels. Happy Monday!
As Old Blue Eyes used to say, nice and easy does it!
Now if only squirrels weren’t part of the equation. 😁 Happy Monday.
Hahaha!
I am not a doggo, however I do not like going anywhere in the car. And yoor cartoon was so funny! We need to invite a doggo over to play with my brofur Wabbit. He is a kitty but acts like a dog and I think he needs to be shown who is boss <– not him. Love, Dori
Car rides can be problematic for some doggos too. Sorry you don’t like car rides. Wilson is happy to take your place. 😉
That looks exactly like Chia on a walk!
Hahaha, I can actually picture that in my mind! Happy Monday.
Just add a shocking pink halter and leash and you’ve got it!
Bwahahahaha!
God bless the person who invented the ‘Gentle Leader’! 🙂
…and harnesses! LOL Happy Monday, Eliza.
🙂
Love that cartoon, Monika. Can always count on the deer to generate a pulling session. Have a great week.
It’s funny how dogs process critters and turn a lovely walk into a death defying drag across sidewalks. 🤣 Hope you have a deer-less Monday.
Twiggy only weighs 25 pounds but has the traction of a Sherman tank.
Big or small, tanks matter!
They do. They also can drag you where you don’t want to go.
You can say that again. I never want to end up on my keister but that invariably happens whenever there’s a squirrel involved. 🤣
🤣
I love that cartoon. Most of our dogs haven’t been big “pullers” but they’ve all had those things that they had to have. The big male we had, hated landscape trailers. Our last dog hated cats, but she would let squirrels sit next to her.
Glad you enjoyed today’s smile. It cracked me up. Dogs can be so dramatic sometimes. It’s ironic that Wilson pulls to get to squirrels. Usually he’s such a Velcro pooch. 😆 Happy Monday.
That’s great! Chester all over! Thanks for the laugh!
So pleased you enjoyed it. Dogs can surely make us chuckle with their silliness. Happy Monday.
BOL…That is hilarious!
Rosy is the same with bunnies…and pulls like crazy!
How funny-they’re her size! Wilson doesn’t quite know what to make of bunnies yet. But if they try to dash away, it seems to trigger the squirrel reflex. LOL Happy Monday.
LOL, that is great! We could see that happening with some of our pack…not mentioning names…
Hee, hee…I’m sure we can guess. Here’s to a pawsome Monday.
Haha! That is too funny!
Happy Monday, Monika.
Glad you enjoyed it. It seemed tailor made for Wilson. Have a great Monday and an even better week.
No kidding!!
Holiday Mondays always start off the week just right 🙂
Oh gosh, I guess so. Enjoy that holiday! Happy Monday.
Thank you. I am! Totes lazy! Plus, I went all the way to the store, forgetting that this particular holiday means all the stores are closed. D’oh!
So, back to doing nothing!
Nothing wrong with doing nothing. 👍🏻
That’s good coz I did a LOT of that 😉
Good for you!
Was rather nice, to be honest. The weather helped by being so wet, of course. Mind you, yesterday was supposed to be crap and it became super nice in the late afternoon. Just in time for the parade and other St-Jean celebrations.
That dog in the comic made me laugh, Monika. I can definitely see “muscle memory” taking over in those instances. Wilson does provide “exercise” when he is exorcised over those furry friends of his, so there’s that. Happy Monday.🙂
Muscle memory…now that is the perfect description for it! Happy Monday, Bruce.
hahaha phenny and nelly ;o))))
Big dogs seem to realize the strength they have. 😉 Happy Monday.
Made me laugh. Thanks.
Awesome! That means our work for the day is done. Have a great Monday.
I love the cartoon. lol 😂 Thank you so much for starting my morning off with a grin. 🌺🩷
Always happy to get people to smile first thing in the week. We hope you have a fur-tastic Monday!
Java Bean: “Look, Lulu, it’s a picture of you!”
Lulu: “It’s a fair cop.”
😆
That ‘toon is so totally hilarious but “ingrained behavior” is tough to lose/forget! Funny! Glad Wilson is getting better though – just think of the “abundant” arm muscles you’re gonna get…….
Hugs, Pam (and Teddy too)
Boy you don’t need to remind me of ingrained behavior-my shoulder is well acquainted with it. Although I could do without the Popeye arms. 😁 Happy Monday!
According to Goldenpedia: Wilson is doing his “unspoken job that all canines sign up for at birth; to rid the world of those destructive and intrusive vermin.” Hang on best you can and have a great week at the ranch!
Hahaha…Wilson asked if he has to be a Golden in order to subscribe to that tenant. 🤣 Have a pawsome Monday, Mike.
Normally, yes he would need to be a golden. But Kloe has just given Wilson honorary Golden Retriever status. It’s almost as good as getting knighted! Huzzah!
Woo hoo! We’re jumping for joy. Many thanks for the special designation. Wilson says working as a pack should guarantee better results ridding the world of these pests.
You made me chuckle. Our Angel Little Bit did the very same thing. So precious.
I linked this post to Awww Mondays.
Have a fabulous day and week. Scritches to the pups and a hug to you. ♥
Happy Monday, Sandee and thanks as always for the hook up on your Monday link. It always makes me wonder why dogs get so fixated on squirrels.
I LOVED that! Absolutely loved it.
So glad you enjoyed that. It sure made me smile because I could identify first hand. I just keep repeating “I love being a kite, I love being a kite. 🤣 Have a ‘wagnificent’ Monday, Carole.
HA! That cartoon is so cute, that would have been our doggies fur sure!
Thanks, Terry. It’s so ironic because Wilson only pulls like that when there are squirrels and then it’s “whoa Nellie, hang on for dear life.” Happy Monday.
This morning I cleaned the litterbox. I swear it was 10 lbs. I don’t need to lift weights! 🙂
Bwahahaha! With 4 cats, I can just imagine. Have a cat-tastic Monday.
That’s Einstein too…..regards having a lead put on as a tug of war competition! Luckily it only happens when going to the vet. His brother, Bunter, goes into the car without problem, but when he sees where we are parking he turns himself into a lump of lead and refuses to get out. Vet’s solution? treat hm in the car!
Sometimes you gotta try to out fox ’em. I’ve never had one that was reluctant to go in the car and good thing too with Wilson being such a heavy weight. I think he knows he’s got a weight advantage when he turns into a boulder in the doorway. 😆 Happy Monday, Helen. Digital treats for all the thugs.
