Happy Monday, troops. Hope you had a lovely weekend. Hard to believe we’ve reached the last week in July. For us we’re just hanging on and ticking off the days until autumn arrives…which for those keeping track of these kinds of monumental happenings, is scheduled to land in 57 days. I know there are a lot of you groaning that summer will be leaving to soon but for some of us, it can’t happen soon enough. Between smoke and evacuations from wildfires to temperatures in the stratosphere, we’re looking forward to a change. But don’t start to worry yet, that’s not happening today and you still have time to ‘enjoy’ what’s left of the season. So let’s start this week with a smile, shall we?

Amen to that. In the meantime, some rain would be nice. More than the 6 drops that fell yesterday. I think it’s so hot that any moisture evaporates before it reaches the ground. Have a terrific week!
We are still caught up in temps in the mid to high 20’s (low 80’s F), occasionally 30+ and the humidity has gone, so we are OK. It’s tinderbox dry in the countryside though. Next rain is forecast on the 4th August!!
Good for you guys. It’s been scorching hot. Yesterday I think 6 drops of rain fell. So much for the monsoons. Sigh.

What a great picture! My hair looks like that in the morning but Teddy is always neat and presentable (that’s not fair right?!). Anyway, hope these last weeks of Summer bring all of us less smoke, more rain (at least here – we’re desperate) and maybe some PEACE AND CALM otherwise?????
