[Before…otherwise known as late May]
The lupine has been taking over the yard and are now swallowing up the dog. BOL Not that I mind (the taking over the yard part). 😉
P.S. One of these day, Wordless Wednesday will be actually wordless, I promise.
Live, love, bark!
Great post. It sounds like Sam knew he could always count on you to be there so there was no harm in going to greet his friends.
My favorite way of thinking about leadership is to think about dancing. The person dancing lead does not force their partner around the floor; they’re there to guide and partner and protect.
A perfect analogy! Well said.
We didn’t hear you bark so we think it was really wordless BOL!
Your Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
I like your way of thinking! 🙂
Just love the different colors, Those are very pretty and sam is handsome
Gorgeous, gorgeous shots! I love the brilliant colours!
Mother Nature knows exactly what she’s doing…me, well not so much! BOL
Those lupines are beautiful. Absolutely stunning and Sam blends in very well. Great shots and it must be such a delight to enjoy all those beautiful flowers after your freezing winters. I am noticing the shorter days here more than anything. Where is the sun? I want it back! xx Rowena
Anything is better to look at than freezing sidewalks and leafless trees. 😉 Before you know it, your summer will be back for enjoyment. xo
Can’t complain too much but am looking forward to those long Summer days even if the heat can get a bi much xx Rowena
Those are beautiful! How do you keep them from being trampled? My gardens get lizards and frogs and Pierre feels it is his duty to go berserk after them! LOL!
Aw, thanks! There are winding stone paths and that helps get around but even this year it’s hard to find. Once they’ve fully bloomed and start seeding, I will cull some of the leggier versions and hack back to the stone paths.
We have squirrels but thankfully, Sam could care less. It’s all the passing neighbors and their dogs that he’d rather visit than some old dumb squirrel. BOL wish I could say the same for me. I despise those dang creatures!
Anything that beautiful should be allowed to multiply.
Agreed. Plus they help block out weeds! 😉
Gosh, I’ll miss Sam…
I’m gonna have to tie a bell to his collar so I can find him! 😉
If you use the flowers as a threat, Sam will behave better. “Don’t do that or I’ll plant more lupinos and they’ll swallow you up”.
Ha,ha! Just like Little Shops of Horrors…Feed me Seymour! Seriously we were in the garden this morning and I totally could not see him as he was playing Super Bloodhound on the trail of something most interesting. Thought he’d left the yard and nearly panicked. 😉
I just love lupins! They are such a “happy” plant when in flower and, when in large groups, are simply beautiful! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Thank you. Yes, they definitely seem happy in the garden these days. I hadn’t had good luck with them until a couple years ago and this year’s profusion has been an extra bonus.
Amazing! Glad to see the heat wave hasn’t wilted everything, including Sam. Stay cool over there! (with sangria, of course)
Righto-3 glasses full I think oughta just about do it! 😉
