Wordy Wednesday ~ December 27, 2017

It’s the last Wednesday of the year and we’ve nearly made it through 2017. Hard to believe in some ways. The ups and downs, the losses, along with a whole lot of wonderful and beautiful. Never fear though, Friday is upon us and as always…it’s gonna be awesome! How will you spend the last Wednesday of 2017? Will you start the New Year out with a shiny new Christmas bike?

Live, love, bark! ❤︎

  1. Wow, each year goes faster than the last.

We’re hunkered down in a marina waiting for temps to rise. While I’d rather be traveling, anchoring in subfreezing temps is really uncomfortable. And this is supposed to be fun, right? 🙂

  2. We are hibernating, probably for the rest of the year. There is no end in sight to our frigid weather right now, so we’re hunkering down. It seems kind of appropriate for 2017 to end this way….we’re looking forward to a better new year!

  3. It was work at home Wednesday- oh it is work at home three days, then Saturday with my niece and nephew and then no plans! Happy end of 2017!

  4. Mom celebrated by leaving me alone like a dog (Wait. What?) while she went to breakfast with her godchild. But now we are hanging out warm and cozy together. It’s a good last Wednesday of the year.

  5. Sadly, I will be resting & recovering.
The epi monster has been after me for days. These extreme weather conditions are always a gateway for seizure activity.
It’s extremely cold here so I will stay curled up around the woodstove with my personal pup heating pad.
Hope you all have a wooftastic Wednesday💜

    1. I am so very sorry to hear this news, Olivia. Sam, Elsa and I are sending oodles of poodles pawsitive healing energy as you rest and recover. Savor the heat pad and have a few slurps of ice cream while you recover. I knew hot temps could trigger episodes but was not aware of extreme cold likewise being equally as problematic. Our couple days of cold made Elsa very frisky on walks but she was equally grateful to come back inside after potty breaks. Feel better soon and know we are thinking of you. ❤︎

  6. Girding up the loins for the New Year’s Eve party at a friend’s place…..the extended family…friends..kids…grannies and grandads, two televisions going full blast and a football game on a third, the cauldron of boiling lard ready for the pork belly chunks, the potatoes and the plantains and every fridge the family can spare brought in for the beer.
Luckily there is also a driver available to return us oldies to our pits once we’ve had the national anthem…to which everyone knows the words…so we can be with our dogs when the fireworks start.

  7. The hubby got home from his Mom’s in IL late last night and is sick in bed. I guess I will be spending the rest of my day after work taking care of him. 🙁 (He’s too nice to be sick!)
