Nearly Wordless Wednesday

The election is over, there were some tough contests producing winners and losers. Now the hard part begins. Governing. To those who are disappointed, I urge you to continue to fight for your principles. To everyone, I urge you to be kind and definitely no gloating. We have a long way to go to heal a country that is quite fractious. That said, I will be reflecting on the various outcomes while rejuvenating my spirit by joining my family at a ‘secret location’ beginning this weekend. I can’t make promises that I will be able to stay connected next week or whether or not posts will be published but I’d love to hear where you think I’m going from this photo in the comments.

If you’ve been meaning to but haven’t gotten around to it yet, be sure to check out the E-shop. New items were recently added. Any order placed before the weekend will be shipped this week. Otherwise, orders thereafter received will go out once I return. Make sure you have a great rest of the week.

  1. Okays, Ma thinks it’s Key West, butts I thinks it’s Bermuda…..wells, where ever it is, drinks lots of margaritas! Live, love, laugh like there’s no one’s watchin’! (if they are watchin’ the ‘love’ part, call the PoPo! ☺)

  2. Governing? Does the current generation of elected officials even know what that means? On a more important note, enjoy your R&R time with family. … and the pic reminds me of my beach walks.

    1. We’ve all become too tribal, not just officials. When I talk my early morning walk, I can’t help but let my mind wander to your posts covering that topic. I suspect they will be particularly rejuvenating for my battered election psyche.

      1. Agree that tribalism is not limited to politicians because it is obvious a prominent way within any community … and there are plenty of election data to support that statement.

  3. Your readers crack me up. I shall simply say, thank gawd the election is over – and I ain’t even ‘Murican!
Wherever you are, enjoy the sand, the beach, the warm temps and the time away. Stay off the ‘puter!!

  4. Definite beach trip! Yay! I am so relieved the election was over. Locally my candidates all won (also yay!) I was getting so agitated from the ads. Yesterday we had 10 calls begging us to do something. One candidate called to tell us his opponent was lying about him. The constant chaos frays my nerves. It agitates the whole country and makes us all a little wonky.

    1. Our elections take way too long-I heard something yesterday morning about the 2020 election. GAH!!!

  5. Based on Sam’s keyboarding abilities, and his “knucklehead” performance, I am guessing that you are really going to a heavily forested area to be among friends and relatives of all species! 🙂 Have a wonderful break from routines Monika. I am also “heading out” very soon for a couple of weeks. Exciting stuff eh! 🙂

  6. Are you going to Hawaii? If the temps are that high its either Hawaii, Florida or somewhere else that’s very warm this time of year.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥

  7. It doesn’t look like we’ll be buying a camper and moving to Canada just yet. Looks like the House may provide the check and balance so sorely needed the last 2 years. Have a wonderful beach trip and soak up some sunshine for me.

    1. A short term check however, the long game has the Senate confirming every extreme judicial nominee for a lifetime appointment. My daughter and granddaughters lives will be forever impacted.

  8. Yes, we do have a long way to go for our Country to heal! Great plan to escape this weekend and OH MY, how did you get one of my pictures from my beach trip. LOL! Are you sure you don’t want any surprise guests! LOL! I’ll be no trouble. 🙂 Have an amazing time!! Let your spirit be refreshed as you listen to the waves!

    1. 😊 Thank you. Am definitely looking forward to listening to waves. The 80+ F will be nice too.
