The mosaics are beyond incredible. I was blown away by their intricacies and beauty.
Wow… I thought that looked Italian. I just saw that it’s from Venice. I hope it stays dry.
They have been hit with tons of rain, The Dogge Palace had threatening water for days. Heartbreaking.
Makes me think of DaVinci. I would love to go to Italy.
I hope you are able to visit-it’s an amazing country to see.

Was just there so I recognize it. Must say I did not love Venice.

Oh man, I was counting on Helen to translate the inscription over the door. All I can puzzle out is it says something about strength conquers death but what the heck is a “fregit?”
An Italian latte? 🤣
Well, there’s “ovi” which I think is an egg. Now I’m really corn-fused.
A gluten free latte?
Could be. Or maybe a medieval Italian announcing he/she/they are ovo-lacto-pesco vegetarian.
That’s also a possibility. 🐣

i went there with my father when I was a teenager…it was in November and the place was eery with fog. I loved it but never managed to go back.

St. Mark’s Plaza, Venice. One of the most incredibly places in the city of much beauty.
One of the many places on my never-ending list.
If you go to no other place on earth, make sure this is that trip. It’s really worth it. There’s magic in the Aegean.
I have little doubt. I’m just beginning to travel the way I want to… even if the last one was in September 2016… I’m hoping to change that!
It’s one of the most magical places I’ve ever been to and was overwhelmed with it. I never expected to fall in love with Venice, thinking it was an overhyped tourist trap. But there is a special magic in all those waterways with the local peeps being warm, generous and quite amazing.
That’s what my friend said… Definitely not done visiting Italy. I only saw the smallest smidgeon
It’s an incredibly diverse and beyond scenic country.
