Funny but I find being up in a balloon just a little bit – well – scary although I have NO PROBLEM riding around in the sky in our little Cessna 150. Go figure.
That looks like a blast. 20 years ago when I was working for a Christian radio station, I was the only one to volunteer when one of our sponsors wanted someone to sky dive. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) they cancelled. My bones are a bit too brittle now to attempt it.
I went up at the Festival in ABQ a few years ago. It was like nothing else. It seemed the balloon was still and the earth and sky and other balloons were changing their space around us. A lovely feeling. ππ΅π¦
Wish I would have visited my sister in ABQ before she moved to the East Coast. The images of all those balloons are stunning especially in the early morning light.
It’s like Canberra and the Balloon Festival.
Fun to look at, but not necessarily to go up in. π
That is a beautiful parachute but there is no way on God’s green earth that I’d do that. LOL!
With my feet FIRMLY on the ground, I know just how you feel! π
That’s a wonderful shot! One day I’ll try it…
And I’ll be on firmly the ground…watching. π€£
…and waving!
Absolutely! ππΌ
It looks exciting, but I also prefer to keep both feet firmly planted on the ground! π
Ground is much safer I think. βΊοΈ
A nice place to be far from the crazy world.
Getting away is a good thing these days…so long as one’s feet on firmly planted on the ground. π

Hugs, Pam
I feel the exact same way (though can’t say as I’ve ever been in a small plane, I prefer the roar of a 737 myself). π
A post from The Fifth Dimension….
Erm…guess that dates me since I totally remember that anthem.
I can see your house from here
Haha! Good one.
YIPPEE, You’ve joined the bird revolution.
Not me…not on a bet will you see my feet leave the ground!

βLookβ being the operative word. Personally I like my feet on the ground π
Wheee!!!!
We think we will just watch from the ground:)
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

Oh, chutes. That was a perfectly good airplane. snorf
π
With the emphasis on ‘was’.
I went up once, years agoβ¦and would love to do it again.
You are a braver soul than me. I think I’d be terrified!
It can be very noisy.
And darn terrify!
Stories that need to be told…
Well, at least they didn’t throw me overboard in order to gain height…these days, with a lot more avoirdupois they might be tempted!
Ha! Letβs not even go there. ππΌββοΈ

I’ve always wanted to do that, but my fear of heights has always prevented me from doing this. I’m to old now. Oh well.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Scritches to Norman and Elsa and a hug to you. β₯
I prefer the ground under my feet too. π
