  1. I’ve already been through the daffodils and my tulips are waning. The dogwoods are blooming now and the azaleas I planted last fall are starting to bloom. I am in pig heaven with all the growth of spring.

    1. Wow, spring has really sprung in your area-so jealous. We’re still have early morning frosts!

  2. I would not have thought of Koln…but, since you say so…it has to be. I would love to visit that city some day. Years ago, I did a puzzle of the Cathedral there…and also years ago, I went to a concert in Toronto, where the chamber orchestra came from Koln. I still hear recordings made by them these days!

    1. Köln is a fascinating city (FYI: many of the stained glass pieces in the famous cathedral have been replaced with a more modern design which caused a bit of a stir among some people). That area around the Rhine has so many fabulous things to see and experience.

    1. It’s a favorite European city of mine, and not just because of the cathedral which is one of the most notable sites tourists visits.

  3. we love this place too… it has something so special… Paris had such a love lock bridge too… Les Pont des Arts, but this cow hidalgo removed all locks there…

    1. Officials periodically remove them in Köln too and then the tourists promptly replace them.

  4. That is a cool photo. Thank you for the kind words you left on my blog for the loss of Sammy.

    1. I’m so sorry for your loss. Sammy looked like a very sweet kitty. The Ranch Hands and I send tender thoughts of comfort. 💙

        1. It’s quite a sight to see in person. My photo doesn’t begin to do it justice.

  5. We stopped at Cologne on our Rhine River cruise in 2006. A gorgeous city. Visited a most memorable bakery that morning before re-boarding the boat – wish we could have stayed longer but it was just a short stop/walk. Your photo is PERFECTION in every way.

    Hugs, Pam

    1. It’s a wonderful place to visit and I fall more in love with it every time I’m back. There was a small group of monks doing the tourist thing that just made me smile. This guy took it all in awe.

    1. Cologne is a wonderful place to visit. And they treat birds well there, too. 😉

  6. I loved traveling to Köln. I did so every quarter for about three years. I usually stayed in the Dom Hotel and loved doing my daily morning run along the Rhine. I was most fascinated by the roman ruins under the city. Thanks for the memory.

    1. It’s one of my favorite places to visit in Germany and always provides some interesting view. Glad you like it. Happy mid-week.

  7. A great shot of a very special place.

Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. Scritches to the pups, a smooch to Norman and a big hug to you. ♥

    1. Thanks, Sandee. It was an especially wonderful trip with some very special people. <3

    1. I did, this is Cologne’s Love Locks at the Hohenzollern Bridge over the Rhine River. I saw this monk and thought how interesting he was playing tourist at this famous site.
