And snap…just like that, the weekend came and went. It was a busy one around the Ranch. On Saturday while Wilson was being groomed, I was able to visit with Baby Halia and her parents. She’s now two months old and growing like a little tadpole with a round belly and arms and legs moving non-stop. She’s quite alert and doesn’t seem to miss much. While visiting, there was an episode of Top Chef on which makes today’s smile seemed ironically apropos. Wouldn’t you just love to see a canine version of a TV cooking show?

Today is also a very special day, it’s Angel Norman’s 13th birthday. Happy heavenly birthday, Big Guy. Still love and miss you everyday and imagine the kibble and toppers are divinely tasty.
Live, love bark! 🐾
Norman has touched everyone’s heart who has stopped by here during his time as a family member, Monika. Happy birthday to the birthday boy!
Thanks. He truly was a special canine ambassador, especially for big dogs. We all miss him very much. 💙
Happy Heavenly 13th Birfday Sweet Norman!!! Wee think of you to this day!!! Miss you mee Poochie frend!

Many thanks for the birthday wishes.
Glad you enjoyed our Monday smile. We thought it was a good way to start the week. Hugs and tail wags.
We just saw a picture of Angel Norman in our collection of pictures and paused for a moment, not knowing that it was his Birthday. So Happy Birthday in heaven sweet guy. We miss you too🎉🎉 Looks like you having a wonderful time with that little twofeet…well…they are most awwdorable little creatures😻 Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day to all of you, Elsa, Wilson and Monika🐾😽💞
Thanks so much for the kind birthday wish, guys. He was such a sweet soul and we miss him very much, just like you guys miss Angel Binky. These special animals really touch our souls.
Having a new baby in the family is so wonderful. I’m blown away by how much she changes each week. Hugs and tails wags.
We miss them long after they’re gone.
The dog chef show would be fun to watch. The comic gave me a good laugh.
Glad to hear you got a smile out of our musing. Yes, they may be gone, but they are never forgotten.
I don’t want to imagine what my cats would come up with! Considering they both love fish, I have an inkling it would go that direction …
Hee, hee…hadn’t thought of a cat culinary show. Now that could be some interesting viewing!
We miss Angel Normie too and wish him a SUPER fabulous heavenly birthday. Love the ‘toon as well because it’s SO DARN CUTE. Sounds like a certain little lady named Halia has you wrapped around her adorable little fingers!!!!
Hugs, Pam and Teddy
Thank you for the birthday wishes. Norman was a special boy and is dearly missed. I had to chuckle about that cartoon…some dogs will eat just about anything (won’t they, Wilson?) and other have finer palates. One thing for sure, Labradors would likely just complain there wasn’t enough on their plate. LOL
Happy Belated Heavenly Birthday, Norman!
That is a funny cartoon…and sometimes I do pour bone broth over their food, if they seem a bit ‘not interested’…
Enjoy the wee one! They grow up TOO fast!
Thanks for the heavenly wishes. I’m sure Norman was happy to see his Blogville friends remember him so sweetly.
That baby is something else. Even though I see her every week, she is constantly changing. It’s staggering!
The Ranch Hands enjoy bone broth too. Maybe they’re budding food critics and don’t know it yet. 🤣
Lulu: “Happy big one-three over the Rainbow Bridge, Angel Norman!”
Java Bean: “We bet they cooked you up something delicious at Tucker’s Everlasting Rainbow Bridge Buffet!”
Thanks, guys. No doubt Norman joined a bunch of Blogville alums to nosh on tasty treats and look down on us to make sure we’re all still good.
Happy birthday to Norman! Animals make such an imprint on our hearts in the relatively short time with us. Never forgotten indeed. The top chef idea is great. Even worse would be a cat one. Mouse mousse, furball inducing chipmunk stew, etc!
Oh my gosh, I actually snorted with those cat thoughts! You’re too funny.
Yes, they really don’t get to spend as much time with us as we’d prefer. And Norman came into my home and heart as a senior dog so his time was even shorter. But what an impact he had on me and all who knew him.
The baby girl is growing by the day! She is such a beauty.
And a happy birthday to the big guy. Much love.
Thanks. She really is growing. We were all massaging our arms from holding her. LOL
And big thanks for Norman’s birthday wishes. He may be gone, but certainly not forgotten. Sadly in a few days I will be marking the 1st anniversary of his passing. This is a bittersweet week. ❤️🩹
Haha! That’s awesome.
Hugs to you.
Awww, Happy Heavely Birthday dear Norman.
Thank you, Terry. He was a very special boy who brought such joy to all he encountered. He is missed by so many folks at the hospital where he was a favorite therapy dog. ❤️🩹
We see you in the clouds, Angel Stormin’ Norman! And Mommy likes your cartoon. It’s spot on! XOX Xena and my pack
Thanks. We found that cloud pic shortly after he passed one year ago later this week. It reminded me of him so much. We’re wishing he was still with us but know while he may be gone, he is certainly not forgotten. 💔
What a beautiful cloud Monika, wishing Norman a heavenly birthday too 💕🐕 xxx
Many thanks, Xenia. Miss him so much but he’s still in my heart.
Love the Angel Norman cloud… he is missed here on earth, for sure. 💕
He truly is. People at the hospital still ask about him. He was beloved by the staff.
I love that photo of the cloud formation. A perfect one for Norman’s birthday. A cooking show for dogs would be terrific. Twiggy and Tempeste would be in front of the tube if only to see the other dogs and ask for something to be saved at home.
Thanks, John. I found that cloud pic shortly after Norman earned his wings-it looked so much like a sheepdog. It’s hard to wrap my head around the fact he’ll have been gone a year as of this Saturday. 💔
I think most dogs would love to be on a cooking show, judging the food or working the floor on the cleanup crew. 😉
Clean up crew I imagine would be the coveted position. We all miss Norman
💙
I hope you weren’t affected by that dreadful weather that hit Colorado!
It skipped my immediate neighborhood though I saw some of the horrific damage. It’s that time of year when toasty conditions make the atmosphere very unsettled. Got caught in a heck of a rain shower yesterday coming back from the sheepdog picnic and worried it might turn to hail but got lucky. But boy, it was scary for a few miles.
Glad you were lucky!
Thank you for your kind words of sympathy on the loss of my beloved Boo, it meant to much to me that you stopped by and helped us with your kind comfort.
Debra
Thank you for stopping by in the midst of your grief. Sadly I know all too well what you’re going through. I’m so blessed to be a part of this amazing community of pet lovers who are there for everyone when they need it most, be it comfort or celebration. Sending you gentle thoughts of comfort.
TeeHeeHee…I’d love to see a Top Dog type show lol
Happy Heavenly Birthday Norman!
🙏🏼 Thank you for the heavenly Barkday wishes. A Top Dog cooking show would be a real hoot. Labradors would complain there wasn’t enough chow for them. LOL
How fun. You made me laugh out loud.

I linked this post to Awww Mondays.
Have a fabulous day and week, my friend. Scritches to the pups. ♥
Thank you for the heavenly birthday wishes-Norman was such a sweetheart. We are always happy to hear our musings bring smiles. And thanks for linking us to your blog hop. We are always grateful. 💙 Happy Monday.
Happy heavenly birthday to Norman. And so glad Halia is doing so well. Dogs, at least most of them, would make terrible food critics. If it is edible (and to dogs, most things are edible) it is good!
🙏🏼 Thank you for the birthday sentiment-I miss that boy so much. As you likely know, the shared moments with a therapy dog make the heart even more sensitive to their presence-so many heartwarming moments.
The only thing canine food critics would ever complain about is “there wasn’t enough of it.” LOL Happy Monday.
if milo was a judge he’d be Joe Bastianach on Master Chef… very judge-y
Awe, I was just thinking of Sam this weekend, and hope he and Norman are romping together in spirit. We are all just spirits living in a physical body for a while
L.
Indeed. Luckily Wilson isn’t picky about what he eats (sometimes to his determent). Elsa on the other hand, and in true poodle characteristic, would probably also be judgy…though I’m sure like Milo, would consider it an asset in the cultinary world. Happy Monday.
“K9 Kitchen”, now streaming on Hulu! HBD Norm. ❤️🐾🌈
K9 Kitchen…love it. Happy Monday.
Zoe would need to have a second taste, just to confirm her initial impressions…and maybe a third, or fourth…
{snicker} She definitely has quite the palate. Happy Monday.
Really fun idea…dogs cooking. Not sure whether our boys would make the table.
Many dogs would probably be just like your fur-kids. Nothing like a Lab to be a taste tester. Happy Monday. 😉
Awww. How sweet! And extra hugs for Norman xoxo
Thank you. I cried the whole time I wrote that post just thinking about that sweet boy. I miss him so much and think of him every single day. Happy Monday.
I bet you did and I don’t doubt you miss him terribly. You didn’t have him all that long with you but he had a huge impact on you and all of us.
Happy Monday to you. sniff, sniff, hug, hug.
🙏🏼 Three years was definitely not enough time together. I’m convinced having therapy dogs and sharing some very intense experiences makes for much more emotional farewells.
Three. My goodness. I knew it was short but man. I think you are so very right, my friend.
He was my COVID dog. I couldn’t have asked for a better company during those dark days. ❤️🩹
Yeah… 💞
A dog cooking show would be great. Our angel Emma would have made a perfect TV dog chef. Happy Birthday, Angel Norman, you are in a better place but will always be missed here.
She sure would have, right down to her toque! 👩🏻🍳 Have a super Monday.
The thugs would make good food critics…..you are never alone at the stove!
Wilson’s love for anything would make him patsy food critic. He’d enjoy it but everyone would roll their eyes saying he’s too easy on chefs. Happy Monday.
