Greetings! We hope all the Dad’s had a great Father’s Day yesterday but now it’s time to begin the new week.
Whatever happens this week, we definitely hope there are enough tennis balls for everyone this week. For the optimists out there, only 96 days until the official arrival of autumn. Stay cool, it’s gonna be another hot one. Happy Monday.

You can have all the tennis balls at the bottom of our sizeable toy basket. Neither Elsa or Wilson are fetch dogs-they look at me like “why in the world did you throw that ball-you go get it!” 😆

BOL – that’s quite the mouthful:). When we get a tennis ball, our only goal is to break it into pieces. So needless to say, Mom says no tennis balls for us.

I wish my lot like balls but they just look at me like I’m dumb asking them to chase something I threw. It always cracks me up.

Elsa does her a bit over a mile and a half, then I drop her off at the house and then Wilson and I continue the balance. Usually I walk about 8+ miles a day but with the heat, it’s gotten to be too much. The rest of my mileage comes from walking back and forth to the grocery store which is only a little over a mile away for fresh veggies & fruit and 4-5 trips to the post office every week since I never can be sure when/if any mail will be delivered/picked up. Any mail from me was personally walked to the substation. 😉
Yes, don’t overdo it in the heat, but that is great that you get that exercise every day. And finding out that you walk to the post office makes your cards all the more special! 🥰

Mom’s first dog was a lab/newfie mix who loved tennis balls. She always had two in her mouth, one would not do. It was fun she said but she never wants another ball fixated dog as it drove her crazy a lot. Great cartoon, have a good week!

Funny…. I count the days to fall around this time of year and lament that in another 4 months or so it will begin cooling down. I like the hot, especially the payoff in the evening sitting under the stars in warm temps. Around the Golden K balls seem to disappear and reappear randomly. Have a great week at The Ranch. We have the same trouble with stuffed mousies. If I move a big piece of furniture it’s like Christmas!

I think because it’s going to be a hottie here the tennis folks are on the courts now finishing up a few hours of ball bashing before the heat sets in. At least I hope so. My husband was out in our yard doing some early morning trimming while it was still cool! Love the ‘toon….the message would be “never play tennis with a dog” !
