I think dogs definitely relate to this proverb. I would so love to strive for the ‘eat half’ advice. which is particularly tough during the Girl Scout Cookie Sale period currently going on. Who can resist those earnest faces?
Live, love, bark! ❤

We ordered 2 boxes of girl scout cookies–can’t wait to get them! a box for me and a box for my hubs! lol
If only I could share! Hahaha 😇
I need to listen to the eat half advice too.
I seriously wish I could make that one happen. ☺️
Girl Scout cookies are my downfall, too. But I love this quote and those sweet faces!
Those kids’ faces are beyond precious!
As if my dogs could abide by the eat half tenet….
Half portions are unknown in the dog world. 😄
I love that saying. It is so very true.
Those Tibetans are very wise:) Mom seems to have lost her taste for the GS cookies, but she says it is so hard to say no to the cute little ones that have the courage to come to the door with their sales pitch. Great learning experience for them.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
They meant eat half the box, right? 🙂
There are no fractions with dogs. Period. 😂
Easy to resist G G Cookies – they never appear around here. We have Girl Guides but I don’t think they go on cookie drives and if they do we have never seen them here. Not sure if that’s good or bad. His food plus half of mine sounds about right.
Dogs do tend to think in those kinds of eating terms, doesn’t they? Trust me, you’re not missing anything by not having Girl Scout cookies down under. I’m convinced a couple of them in particular are made with crack. You can’t stop after just one. 😆
This is so cute and a great Proverb!
Are those kids’ face beyond adorable?
Yes they are! You can’t help but smile when looking at them.
Oh, yes to the “eat half” here, too! And I don’t even have any Girl Scouts here (I miss my cookies)! I am just a foodie at heart!
Girl Scout cookies are just dangerous! 😍
At the mere mention of eat half ours would be in shock…they expect it all!
I HAVE to resist those faces!!!
Actually, Shadow DOES eat half of her breakfast; and a few hours later she eats the other half. 🙄 Which is probably just as well because sometimes she just eats too fast for her own good. She walks double – on the treadmill and in the yard – and when Callie was here, they always seemed to be attached from the shoulders to the butt. 😉
Dogs seem to instinctively know better than their uprights some times. 😍
not me! I can’t resist the joy, the expectation of fun!
😇
What are we supposed to eat half of? We’ll ask Mom t add it to our bowl. <3 Lucy and Xena Pee S. If walking double means running side by side, we do that in the backyard all the time!
Sounds like you guys got this all covered. Are you part Tibetan? 😄
Oh no, Miss Monika. We weren’t part of eating any Tibs! Lucy and Xena and Lucy again
I can resist the doorbell ringing and being accosted outside of the grocery store…even though I love GS cookies!
Girl Scout cookies are for ravenous co-workers. My current strategy is if they’re not in the house, I can’t eat them. I swear they must put crack in the Samoas and Thin Mints. 🙂
Yes, Samoas for me too…and Tagalongs 😀
Those peanut butter ones always scream “DANGER! Will Robinson.” 😁
Gaaah!!!
I have to buy a lot of Girl Scout cookies these days – some people at work are going to get very lucky with the extras!
And the best strategy is to leave them at work were others are guaranteed to eat them. That’s one aspect where I miss work. Co-workers usually are real ‘Hoovers’ when it comes to taking care of cookies and Easter, Halloween and Christmas candy. 😊
It’s amazing how fast those things disappear – the real key is just making myself bring the things in (instead of eating them myself).
I’m much better if there’s an audience. I feel self conscious around others and don’t want them to think of me as a cookie piglet. LOL
Kali shuddered at the thought of eating 1/2. Other than that she loves the sentiment! 🤓. Have a great week!
Funny how most dogs react that way. 😊 Elsa said no how, no way herself as she moved on to Sam’s bowl! Have a pawsome week yourselves.
What’s “half?” Does that mean eat till the clattering of your empty metal bowl drives your mom crazy? I always check and double check that there’s not a kibble left – can’t be too careful… That’s how I eat “half.”
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Oh Cupcake, I am totally convinced a dog created metal tags (or at least the idea) to bang against food and water bowls, especially in the middle of the night. ☺️
Dogs relate to “eat half”????
Only if it’s YOUR half (in addition to theirs).
I love that (without any measure)… and Phenny asks if he can get the other half of my food ;O)))
Haha…I wondered which pup would be first to ask that question. Phenny gets the prize-no money mind you, just recognition. 🏆
