Wish I Was There Wednesday

After two days of pleasant temps in the 80’s, we’re back to the scorching mid-90’s temperatures along with single digit humidity for the rest of the week. The dogs and I don’t do so well in the heat so we’re gonna huddle comfortably in the air-conditioned house for the better part of each day and recall cooler days on a trip to Southern Germany. On the plus side, it’s mid-week, only a couple of days until “Favorite Friday.” Enjoy a nice cool spot in Bad Rippolsau where I wish I was today.

Live, love, bark! 🐾

  1. We’ve still been on the cool side here, so we can’t relate yet. But I’m sure at some point this summer we’ll be dreaming of cooler places too!

  2. Looks like a wonderful place to spend a day “communing with nature”!! But, truthfully, I’m just glad to be home from my 3+ months in Florida, so I’ll just stay put for a while.

    1. Staying put can be very fulfilling especially after you’ve been away for so long. Didn’t realize it was months, only thought it was weeks. Holy cow! You are a wonderful sister. 💙

  3. I’m jealous of your single digit humidities. I think ours has at least three, maybe four digits. Great for generating annoying pop up thunderstorms just about every day. It is one muggy, ugly summ….. er, Spring. I can’t believe it’s not even summer yet!

  4. Oh, I thinks I could lives in that pic! Ma (and I) hate the heat, butts when it’s a ‘dry’ heat, it’s not so bad. This year we’ve been lucky (so far) not to have too much humidity, like last year. I hopes you get some cooler aire soon! You can some over here, we just had our mid 90 weather, and it’s gonna turn cooler this weekend ~ in the low 80’s! pawfect for zoomies!
    Kisses,
    Ruby ♥

  5. The heat has been tough so far this season, seems like the heat came on fast and furious. But today is nice so we are going to relish it for as long as we can.

    1. Hard to imagine living anywhere else…heat not withstanding. We do live in a high mountain desert after all. On the plus side, we generally don’t have the nasty bugs of summer like humid, hot places have.

  6. Too hot, for you and for us. Mother Nature plays with us, we have not have had rain in 6 weeks and the weather is warmer than it should be. I feel so bad, animals have no water in forests, all ditches are dry.
Keep inside and cool dear friends.

  7. I live in central California and it was in the 90s yesterday. I too stayed in the cool.

Have a fabulous day and find some cool to enjoy. ♥

  8. Talking of southern Germany: some area there are drowning just now [https://is.gd/Oy3Yfq]. 🙁
    Take care, and stay cool,

  9. I do not like heat either. With the wind it’s like a convection oven. I wonder if having a porch helps you because of shade? Milo wants to be out but then can’t take the sun so comes back in. We’re all missing our screened in porch.

    1. We were out before 6 am this morning for our walk and it was already in the mid-60’s. Trees make a difference of probably 5-15 degrees. A covered patio or pergola is a great investment till trees get big enough. Once it gets over 90, not much makes a difference beyond a icy cold beer. On the plus side, you can make pizza outside. 😊

  10. oh imagine we would be there with some snacks and a book … and we would enjoy the silence till a wild pack of dogs would jump around like crazy clowns…

  11. your 90s are heading our way this Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and I am DREADING it! It’s too early for this! I am with you, I want to be exactly where you pictured!

  12. It’s cold and wet and miserable. I am sitting at the computer and if Benji could get any closer to the heater he’d be sitting on it. Went out to the wetlands this afternoon – cut the walk short and just made it back to the car before the rain started. Yes, winter cometh!
