It’s Halloween week-are you ready for visits from big and little goblins?
The neighborhood Knucklehead wasn’t too sure about posing with these seasonal decorations from the neighborhood shopping district recently and it required several attempts. Of the dozens of photos taken, this was the best one of the lot. The others were horrible photo-fails. He kept looking over his shoulder at them as if they were going to either (a) pet him or (b) scare him out of his fur.
If you follow us on Instagram, you may have seen some photos I posted of Sam while he “pawticipated” at an event for hospital staff and volunteers as he strutted his stuff in the Pet Parade along with other members of the pet therapy team. We’ll share photos from that event tomorrow. Till then, have a ‘wagnificent’ Monday.
Live, love, bark! 🐾

As always, thank you for adding our link. 😍
Thanks. Still creeped up out by the smiling scarecrows. 🎃
Well, the smiling assassins may not frighten Sam, but by golly they frighten me!!
Me too. Straw people are creepy, even if they are smiling. 😊
What if they were relatives of one of your previous toys?!
💜 nose nudges 💜
All our toys have ‘snow’ inside, never straw. 😇
A smiling scarecrow is probably going to fail at its actual job miserably…
Or a brilliant ploy.
Mr. and Mrs. Halloween aren’t to sure that they want to be associated with the knucklehead.
The feeling was mutual.
Never trust people that smile like that 😉
You may be on to something!
Great costumes! Which one is Sam?
He’s the one on the left. 😉
All geared for Halloween…yeay!
We think it is a wonderful photo!!! You wouldn’t be able to get Lightning anywhere near those creatures!!!
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
It took some cajoling for Sam. I was beginning to wonder if he knew something I was missing about those decorations!
That’s such a happy Halloween display! Scarecrows can be creepy/ LOL!
Never trust a smiling scarecrow, I say. 🤣
Mom got a good shot of you, Sam. You’re most handsome.
I linked this post to Awww Mondays.
Have a woof woof day. My best to your peeps. ♥
As always…thank you for the link!
sadly, we don’t get trick or treaters because we are in an apt/condo complex and they aren’t permitted to trick or treat here 🙁
That’s not necessarily a bad thing.😈
Sam yore wagnificient!!! THE Halle-deckorationss will NOT come to life an hert you!!! They are stuffed! MOL 😉
Aw, Sam, they look pretty friendly!! 🙂
I dunno-they seem a tad sketchy to me.
Can’t be too careful, S. Those scarecrows look pretty shady and unpredictable to me.
Love and licks,
I think so too, Cupcake!
Your fur-I end,
Even though it wasn’t what you were “shooting” for, I bet the ones of Sam apprehensively looking over his shoulder were good too!
I can’t blame Sam for looking rather anxious… Though these decorations are rather friendly, one can never be too sure at Hallowe’en…
I tend to be suspicious of straw filled creatures myself. 🤣
I wouldn’t give much for the goblins’ chances with the thugs…they operate on ‘if in doubt, go for it…’
😆That seems smart by my way of thinking.
He’s really cute. 🙂
Thank you. He sure has my heart and makes me smile all the time.
In defense of Sam, you can never be too safe. Especially this time of the year . . .
I agree. Lots of that kind of decor creeps me out!
Some peeps really do it up, and the one who go dark? Yikes!
Cutest goblin I have seen. 🙂
I am on Instagram too! I will have to look you up. 🙂
That’d be awesome. We’ll check you out too!
MIlo puts up with them once he gives them a good sniff. He doesn’t like flat faces!
Sam is showing his getmeouttahere face!
It took loads of treats to get him to sit as close. Things like that have never bothered him in the past. Perhaps this is another facet of getting old.
I would get not one photo with the decorations… maybe with a dead couple of scarecrows ;O)
That’s something I would expect from Elsa but never Sam.
