Happy ‘Howleween’ ~ 2019

We survived Snowmageddon and its evil companion, Jack Frost this week and are looking forward to thawing out and getting back to our regular long walks. We await any souls brave enough to participate in the ritual of trick or treating but personally think they might want to think twice about it since it’ll still be pretty cold tonight. Then there’s this outdoor decoration we came upon along one of our walk-abouts before the snowstorm. I can’t decide if I want to get to know these neighbors or steer clear of them. The dogs absolutely refused to get anywhere near this outdoor decoration even though it was completely quiet (thankfully). Cool or creepy?

    1. LOL You guys crack me up. Creepy…oh yes but kind of interesting. Hope you had a super Howloween. 🎃👻

    1. Even with temps hovering just below freezing, there were actually a few brave souls. Still, I have a gigantic bowl of suckers (something I won’t touch) to give away.

    1. It’s definitely something bought, but I’ve never seen another one like it. Pretty incredible, even if it is kind of creepy.

    1. It may be one of those extreme weather winters. After single digits yesterday, it’s almost 40 today. Yo-yo weather is so flummoxing.

  1. I think your dogs must know that the “decoration” is seriously evil. Dogs know things like that.

Our wishes for warmth to come your way.

    1. It’s gloriously beautiful today…finally above freezing with gorgeous blue skies. 😊

  2. That is definitely in the cool and creepy category!

A bunch of our cities have totally wimped out and decided today’s rain (still not here) will be too violent (puh-leeze) for the kiddos so Halloween is moved to tomorrow. Can you belei’ dat? What a bunch of sissies.

    1. There are tons of those blow up decorations in the neighborhood but that was the only one they’ve avoided like the plague.

            1. I wish I could have seen it swaying in the wind. Now THAT would have been totally creepy.

  4. At least it’s a some what real looking monster. Yesterday I set a bag and my jacket on the patio table outside the kitchen. The girls came in through another door and when they noticed the items on the table through the window they went nuts. I open the door to let Koda out and she rears back in fear quickly retreating to the safety of my legs! I can only imagine if they saw this goblin….

    1. Bwahaha! Always makes you wonder what triggers a hackle raising at something that’s obviously normal to us.

    1. We’ve got our paws crossed he doesn’t return until at least January which is his usual appearance date.

  5. Glad you survived the storm and yes, I would stay away from the decoration too! Too creepy for me! We don’t have snow, but we are supposed to get severe storms with downpours tonight, so Trick or Treat has been rescheduled in a lot of nearby towns.

    1. Ahhh, candy corn, the crack cocaine of Halloween candy. That stuff is so dangerous, I stopped buying it!
