Happy 4th of July

July 4thAs the U.S. celebrates our country’s independence, both the Ranch hands and I wanted to take this opportunity to wish our U.S. based readers a happy Fourth of July and we hope everyone has a terrific Sunday.

    1. Thank you. It was waaay too noisy for us but fun because the pups actually cooperated during the photo shoot so all was not a total loss. Just glad it’s over for another year. 😉

        1. It was excruciating. Hour after hour until after 1 AM of boomers. For 3 straight days. Ugh. We’re still blurry-eyed from lack of sleep.

            1. Hugs always gratefully accepted. Norman sends puppy kisses and bum wiggles.

    1. Thanks Binky. We’re just glad to be past that time even if it gives me the opportunity to ‘decorate’ the dogs. LOL

  1. A belated Happy Fourth to you, too.
And let’s not forget, especially in these times, the first word the Constitution starts with, “WE”!
    Have a wonderful holiday,
    Pit

    1. Thanks Lulu. We had hoped by looking good people would realize you can enjoy the holiday without having to make a lot of terrifying noise.

    1. Elsa, in particular! She hates sitting for photos and either looks away or runs away as soon as I pull out my cell phone. 😒

  2. Love those 4th of July costumes gang! You’re READY – hope it was a wonderful 4th for you – we had a nice quiet one for a change!

    Hugs, Teddy

    1. Many thanks. It’s rare Elsa cooperates with posing for photo shoots so that was a real treat.

    1. Just trying to please me mum is all. 😊 I’m much more prim and proper than mum’s props might suggest.

    1. Thanks! Norman is always cooperative but for Elsa, this is a red-letter day. She hates photo shoots! #gotlucky

  3. Let’s see…the Spoos originated in Germany I believe and the Old English Sheepdogs, well, we know from whence that breed came. So it seems wholly fitting on this day that these two great doggers can be proud of their history, tradition and country of origin while celebrating the Independence Day of their home country, America. Great costumes and you know I say that as someone who does not believe in dressing up dogs in costumes. Have a wonderful holiday all of you.

    1. It’s only fitting having a Spoo and an OES heralding the holiday of the upstart immigrants’ independence. Have 4th to you and yours. 🇺🇸🇩🇪🇬🇧

  4. Happy 4th to you all, too! Great photos!!

Ducky never did like “playing dress-up”, so I stopped trying with her, Shadow, and Callie. And other than bandannas, I’m not much for it myself any more so why bother?

    1. Elsa hates it and usually refuses to cooperate. I felt pretty fortunate to have been able to capture that pic. Hope you have a terrific 4th!

  5. OMD Sweet Norman yore SO-O handsum inn yore finery an Elsa yore so beeuteefull inn yore ribbonss!! Furry Pawtriotic!! Happy 4th to youss’ an Miss Monika two!

    1. Why thank you! I’m always amazed when photo shoots go well, especially with Elsa who despises being dolled up. Happy 4th!

    1. We’re partial to star-spangled posts. 😉 Have a great ‘howliday.’

  6. Love that you got the Brit so well-decked out 😉
Elsa looks more “take the pic and leave me alone”…
Happy 4th to you and yours, Monika!

    1. I was stunned to get her to actually look me in the eye. She usually turns her head. Norman is a real modeling pro but needs an agent. 🤣

      1. I guess she has learned that the sooner she looks at you, the sooner this insulting activity is over. Norman, if you’re smart, you get yourself an agent!! 😉

        1. Think I just captured her quick enough (without my hand in the frame). Norman definitely needs an agent!

    1. Thank you, dear Titch. We’re not very crazy about dressing up but it makes mum happy so there you are!
      Your fur-iends,
      Norman & Elsa 🐾

  7. Aw, you two are all dressed up for the day.

Have a fabulous Independence Day. Scritches all around, and a smooch to Norman. ♥

    1. They were great dressed-up models. Even Elsa posed well and she never does that! Happy 4th, Sandee!
