Monday Musings ~ September 13, 2021

Welcome to Monday where we tend to revel in the happenings from our weekend and start planning for the next one. Speaking of planning, it’s about time to start thinking about next year’s Spring bulb garden. Thankfully, neither of the Ranch Hands dig up bulbs, but a warning to all you gardeners…spring bulbs are toxic for pets.

Smiles

Norman had his second evaluation on Friday and I wanted to express my thanks for all your kind words of support. According to our evaluator Amy, Norman did great (and even I didn’t embarrass myself). We’re hoping to order our business cards next and obtain Norman’s ID badge. Once any other outstanding bureaucratic items are completed, we’ll be officially considered the newest team in the hospital’s pet therapy program.

Wishing you a totally ‘pawsome’ week.

  3. WAY TO GO NORMIE! That’s wonderful. He will make a lot of people happy when he visits I’m sure. I remember our first couple of years here in this house – I spent a small fortune planting bulbs only to see the squirrels dig them all up. Sigh.

    Hugs, Pam

    1. Doggone tree rats! Thanks for the words of congratulations. We’re pretty excited and grateful to be able to bring smiles to those who need them.

    1. Thanks, Marc. He’s a sweet boy who draws crowds wherever he goes. The fact that (as my son remarked recently) he’s such a good looking boy and a guaranteed date dog, is a bonus. LOL

    1. Thanks, John. I wasn’t worried about Norman, but luckily I didn’t do too badly either. 😉

    1. Thank you! We’re pretty chuffed about this. He’s a good boy (I’m the weak link in this partnership 😆).

        1. Hee, hee…he will. And I think the photo of him with his dogtor coat and stethoscope will be ‘pawfect’ for his business cards!

                1. Again, it’s so much like German! Isn’t it great we each have a new word to start out the week? Bravo. 😍

  4. I’d have to chip thru the scorched earth to plant a bulb here! I’d love to have some though, wonder if I could just add some surface soil somewhere piled up to plant in…norman is so handsome.

    1. You might be surprised. Irises (which are rhizomes, not bulbs) will grow in just about anything. There are even some reblooming varieties. Maybe try daffodils in pots?

  5. Teamwork indeed. Love it.

Awww on Norman. I would love to kiss his cute face a million times. Way to go Norman.

Have a woof woof day and week. Scritches to the pups, a smooch to Norman and a big hug to mom. ♥

    1. We’re very excited. It takes a while to get through the process so it’ll be nice no longer being an intern.
      🙂

    1. Many thanks, Dale. I knew Norman would do well; just wasn’t as confident about my performance. With the COVID protocols, there’s a lot of new stuff since the days when Sam and I were a team.

    1. Thanks. I’ve been sweating bullets I might be as good as Norman. Course I know I’m not, but at least I was acceptable. 😇
