After days of boom-booms, happy (with a dash of quiet) sounds really good to me. Make it a great week!

Yes! Hope it is all quiet and happy there! The boom-booms were wicked here this year â as in right next door! Thankfully, itâs all quiet now! Enjoy the peace! xo
UghâŠthey were noisy here but at least not next door. They kept going off all weekend but beyond one boomer Monday night, things have been quieter. Hugs and tail wags from all of us.
Haha. It occured to me that oxymorons and hypocrites are kind of the same thing in different clothing, right? Thatâs not political or pointed at anyone. It was a âdeep thoughts by Katâ moment.
EgadâŠI think you may be spot onâŠor at least very close! Whoa đ
Java Bean: âAyyy, you canât spell âoxymoronâ without Monday! Or at least some of it!â
Thereâs no shortage of moron most days.
We are more than ready for QUIET â but not as much as weâre more than ready for WET â itâs desperately dryâŠâŠ.and hot. Keep cool gang!
Hugs, Teddy
Thanks, Teddy. We know just what you mean-itâs ghastly dry and moving back into hot this week. 74 days until autumn official arrivesâŠnot that Iâm counting, mind you. đ
Enjoy the quiet and have a good week! Your Rockies are here with chances for wins!
I heard theyâre in your hometown. Wouldnât be surprised if your guys worked them over really well. Stay safe-just say the weather reportâŠlooks like Beryl is going to cause havoc throughout the Midwest up through New England and as far north as Toronto. Powerful storm!
Hereâs to a boom-less week Monika.
Iâd drink to that. Although I think the heat dome on the west coast is moving our way. Time to close up the house and stay inside!
Itâs so blech here that I just got back from a run. Itâs already almost eighty here and the sun hasnât even made an appearance yet.
Yelp! Man, sounds like itâs gonna be a miserable week. At least it was pleasant enough this morningâŠthis afternoonâŠ91. Sigh. Head for the shade, dude. And donât forget a cool beverage or three.
So miserable. I walked outside at a little after four this morning and it was already almost eighty. WTF.
Imma take your advice on the cool beverage. đ
Awwwkkk! Thatâs way too hot at that time of day. Seems downright criminal. My daughter is in the Houston area and they are without power, have no phone service and the heat index is 100ÂșF. Makes my situation seem quite trivial by comparison. Talk about WTAF!! đł
It really is.
Houston is always nuts this time of year from what Iâve heard. Is it true they sometimes have to take the batteries out of their car or theyâll melt or is that an online legend?
Houston is nuts all the time. I donât know how people live down there. The weather is abominable.
Eeesh.
Morale to this disasterâŠalways remember things are never so bad they canât get worse. đ”âđ«
I do try and keep this in mind on a daily basis LOL
Well, I fed one son on Sunday and the other son on Monday and I might even feed myself today :o) Been a good start to the week thus far â rained all day Sunday and Monday was mild and dry. Today is to be dry and a bit warmer at 16C. Benji and I have been out for our morning walk, at 6am â no people around â so now itâs treat and coffee time.
Treat and coffee sound like the perfect way to start the day. Have a great week.
Took me a minute to get the oxymoronâŠhappy to say my Monday has been good. đ
YayâŠthatâs pawsome news!
Well I am mostly off on Mondays, nowâŠexcept if I have to work on a holiday that falls on one. So itâs all good!
But today itâs Moanday cause somewhere last weekend I got myself a good old fashioned cold. Argghhh!
Awk! Summer colds are the worst! Feel better soon.
Mew mew mew this Oxie-moron sure iss BellaStia Mum! More like MEH Mo(a)nday heer Miss Monika!
***purrss*** BellaDharma an ((hugss)) BellaSita Mum
Meh isnât all that bad. Sometimes, itâs just âpawfect.â Just stay away from the morons. đ€Ł
We did have our share of booms but it was short and sweet. Iâm glad since I know dogs donât care for it. Have a great week!
Glad to hear you all survived. Weâve experienced multiple days of boomers. Pets of all stripes, wildlife, a lot of peeps and the environment all suffer when there fireworks are set off. Happy Monday.
My dad used to say, â any day above ground is a good oneâ. Looks like weâre off to a good start. đ. 100 degree temps at The Golden K since Last Wednesday and more forecast for this week.
So Iâm going to adapt my dadâs saying to, â any day not on fire is a good one!â Hope you have a good week at The Ranch sans boo booms!
Amen, Mike. Yeah, when I worked I use to say âeveryday is a good day, some are just better than others. This week is gonna be brutal all across the west. Try to stay cool.
let the fireworks be doneâŠ. amen!
I know, right? Sheesh.
Too cute! Sadly weâve got more morons that oxys these days!
Boy, ainât that the truth, especially at this time of year. We hope the oxys win out this week. Have a good one.
Weâre enjoying the quiet here too.
I linked this post to Awww Mondays.
Have a fabulous day and week, my friend. Scritches to the pups and a hug to you. â„
As always, thanks so much for the link-youâre way too kind. I hope the quiet returns now. Itâs been a noisy few days. Happy Monday, dear Sandee.
I hope you have a quiet week ahead.
Right back atcha, Dan. Peace and quiet is very much needed after July 4th.
As a retired person, I love Mondays. All those pesky people on the roads are safely back at work!
Some of those pesky folks were out walking their dogs this morning. Or should I say, they were reading their cell phones while their dogs were walking all over the place. Oy.
That seems to be how people walk these days whether itâs with dogs, friends or alone!
If you want to control todayâs society, hijack their wifi. It might actually wake them up and keep them from tripping on uneven sidewalks.
Haha! Happy Monday to you too!
Enjoy your guest this week! đ
Thursday! Woot! Not that anyone is counting⊠no, no, not at all đ

I used to look forward to going to work after a weekend of catching up on all the things I hadnât done during the weekâŠ.
Working moms tend to do that, Helen. I recall those days as well and learned that even if you started the week out on Tuesday, you likely wouldnât be a fan of it either. Hereâs hoping youâre all caught up for a while.
Yeah, Mondays are not really a day we look forward to, but it has to happen.
So true. If the week began on Tuesdayâs weâd have the same reaction we have to Mondays. I always said everyday is a good day, some are just better than others. Hereâs hoping your today is that day.
