Springtime in the Rockies ~ March 27, 2019

While most are yearning for spring and warmer temperatures, I continue to long for some moisture. This winter has been bone dry with few snow storms containing minuscule amounts of the white stuff. Imagine my rejoicing this morning to wake up to a this winter wonderland. I’ll take it. Thank you, Mother Nature.

Any surprises when you woke up this morning?

Live, love, bark 🐾

Wish we’d get some more. This winter has been more than pitiful in total accumulation.

  1. How gorgeous! I think we are done with the rains here until next Winter. Out comes the humidifier.

Humidifier? Ha, I always wondered about those things (at 10-15% humidity most often than not, there’s rarely a chance to use one around here.)

  2. Sand Spring Chesapeakes – Cambria, WI – My husband and I have six "furry" children Gambler, Glory, Guilty, Slammer, Gertie and one cat Bones and two furangel's Norman and Nellie. We breed Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. We are both avid hunters. We also enjoy competing with our dogs in hunt tests and field trials. That is where you can find us during the trial months which are April-September. When were not at a trial we are busy training our dogs. We go snow goose hunting in Canada each year and do all the hunting that Wisconsin offers.

Yikes, only good thing is it goes away as fast as it came.

We’ve had our share of wet and lots of snow this year – so good for us in NorCal. It’s magic to wake up to a white frozen world. Enjoy it before it melts. As for us the girls and I were greeted by a loud and very excited turkey roosting somewhere near where the girls do their morning business. It’s very vocal so must be protecting eggs – I think it’s a little early for chicks. Kali and I will investigate later. Have a great “winter” morning. Ear scratches to Sam and Elsa.
