Hi-ho, hi-ho, itās off to West Pines we go.š¶ After many patient and staff visits (and more than a few ādates with nursesā) at hospital yesterday, Sam is off to West Pines this morning. We had loads of interaction with all sorts of folks yesterday from two year olds to eighty plus year olds including a surprising number of visits at hospice. Since it was the first time this summer that Sam has been back, I wasnāt sure how heād do. But my boy proved heās still got game and was only slightly off kilter. I tried to make yesterdayās shift as easy as possible and he seemed to enjoy the lighter duty. His hospital friends we always visit were very happy to see his sweet face. When I saw the smiles he put on peopleās faces, I know he was back in his element despite being tuckered out once we returned home. Visits normally take a lot of energy out of him, but after a good nightās sleep, heās raring to go today and ran toward the garage before our morning constitution.

He will have a great day, I am sure of it. After all he is Sam and I am so glad he is fit and well again. Only three more days for us; Winter will be officially over and Spring (This Sunday) will have sprung. Of course Mother Nature might have other ideas.
So jealous of your official change of seasons. Ours doesnāt arrive until late next month. I hope I havenāt evaporated by then. Tomorrow is another upper 90āsF forecast with no rain in sight.
Sam is an amazing doctor. Some people say dogs or cats canāt think, they just do everything by instinct. That for sure is not right. Sam knows what he is doing and why.

Tell Sam to pace himself. Thatās what all us oldsters need to accept. He looks a bit thinnerā¦is that because of his illness or just lean and mean? Either way, handsome boy and good to see him back on the job.
Heās always been light on his toes but did lose a few pounds when he was sick. Iām stuffing him with treats as much as I can to get him back to his fighting weight.
Knowing you, the treats are probably lovingly made by hand in your kitchen from the purest ingredients! Nothing less for our favorite Spoo. I suspect heāll gain back a few pounds and be back to fighting weight (actually therapy-giving weight) real soon!

He is definitely back to being his usual goofball self. I know I was concerned while he was ailing and somewhat impatient for him getting better. Luckily he responded to the treatment. Whew! Thanks to your angel girls watching over my boy.
Sam looks so handsome in his purple bandana, and then so sweet when heās sound asleep! ā„
